Cleaning & House Keeping
Listening Listen to and understand the different vocabulary and phrases about

What will you do to activate We will ask them about their experience about being in the cleaning job
or link students prior field and the difficulties they have encountered in the past. Do they all

upcoming content? introduction of what we would teach in this class and address their
problems and questions during class.

What will you do to engage I will ask students about what they know and what they didnt know

In the last class, the students felt the need to study the content of the

What went well? How do you In the beginning of the class, the student was excited that we would go
know? over this topic because it closely connects to her job field. During the
class, she was very engaged, when asked to use gestures and perform
the activities, the student was able to differentiate different verbs and
movements. By the end of the class, she also learned many new words
and phrases such as dryer, trash bin, vacuum cleaner, take out
the trash, sweep the floor, do laundry, etc.
What didnt go as planned? For this class, not much things went out of the plan. Everything went as
expected.
What contingency plan did I asked the student to do a pop-quiz by using what she had learned
you employ? from this session to check whether she had comprehended the content,
and it turned out that she fully understood the subjects.
What would you do I would bring some realia to class to provide more vivid examples
differently next time? instead of merely showing pictures on line. And I may take the student
out of the classroom and walk around the campus and talk about
cleaning.
