Alphabet
The Korean alphabet has 24 Consonants and Vowel letter
and is commonly known as Hangul. The Hungul was
created under King Sejong during the Chosen Dynasty.
The Hangul is considered to be one of the most efficient
alphabets in the world. The first Korean alphabet was
declared under the original name Hunmin Chong-um,
which also means the correct sounds for the instruction
of the people,

Three Kingdoms of Korea
Korea was divided into three kingdoms the Goguryeo,
Baekje, and Silla. Goguryeo was the largest of the three
kingdoms. Baekje controlled most of the western Korean
Peninsula. Silla, which was renamed from Saro occupied
the lands south of Pyongyang.

 In high school in Korea the focus is more on testing
and getting ready/prepared for college. It is normal for a
high school student in Korea to leave home at 5 in the
morning and not return home till late at night. It is
expected for student to spend most of their time
studying. The main goal for high school students in Korea
is to get into Seoul National University.

Holidays
The major holidays in Korea consist of Korean New
Years and Korean Thanksgiving. In Korea they go by a
Lunar Calendar, which means every year the holidays fall
on different dates.

Landmarks
The three landmarks Gyeongbokgung palace,
Myeoungdong, and N Seoul Tower are famous landmarks
in Korea. The Gyeongbokgung palace a piece of ancient
history, which was the home of the kings of Joseon
dynasty. Myeongdong is Seouls main shopping region. N
Seoul Tower is an observation tower, which marks the
highest point in Seoul.

Tradition
One of the main traditions in Korea consists of
clothing. In Korea Hanbok is a traditional Korean dress
worn during traditional festivals and celebrations. Another
main tradition is called the Ganggangsullae. The
ganggangsullae is a traditional dance that is danced
during the Korean Thanksgiving.
