Pre reading activity: on the carpet.


I will let the students have a set on the carpet and I will set with them. Then I wi
ask them the open-ended question for example: do you like do you like to eat?
So I will discuss that with the students. Then I will say today we will read the
story what do you think it will be about? When they will finish guessing I will
show them a cover page of the story. Then I will say for them what you can see
on the cover page? They will say a caterpillar. Then I will do with them a concep

I will start to read the story with them by fluency and different tone and I will us
the puppets to attract the students while I am reading. Also during I am read

I will ask a different question about the story so if they answer me correct t I will

I assist two students that low ability to read for them explains for them two times
and I assist all the students by checking their work.

Reflection WWW/EBI
I start my lesson with rules and that good to remind the student about the rules and to
not misbehaving in the classroom, then we sit on the carpet and start chatting and I
ask them open-ended question to engage the students to continue the lesson and to
let all the students participate then I start to reading and its went well and I do with
them an activity and also its went well but not all the students understand the activity
so I explain for each into group until they understand so in the end just I ask them a
question but I should develop my activity.
Behavior management
In this class and for this lesson I used one strategy that let me control on the students
so it's using class dojo and its app so, I open it from the computer to let the students
see if I add or take marks and also I used a real money from the class dojo.
Groupings/differentiation
I make little of differentiation in the worksheet by doing three different worksheets
based on their level.
Next Steps in learning and teaching
On my next step of teaching, I would use more differentiation for the activity.
