SECTION A (20 Marks Each)

1. a. Explain the various criteria that are relevant in selection of Simulation

b. Software
Write a short note on Simulation Packages and its Characteristics.
Explain trends in simulation software

2. a. Explain in brief, Runs Test and Poker test for checking Independence
character of a sequence of Random Numbers.
Explain system & system environment with its components & Explain
areas of application of simulation
b. Explain briefly about steps followed in Linear Congruential Method with an
example

3. a. Briefly Explain Simulation of a Computer System

b. With the following generate at least 10 random numbers and test for
uniformity using KST. (Assume signifcance level of 5%)
Xo = 21 a=23 c=49 m=100 Use Linear Congruential Method to generate
random numbers.
SECTION B (10 Marks Each)

4. A Sequence of 1000 four digit numbers has been generated and an

analysis indicates the following combinations and frequencies
