1.0 INTRODUCTION
A computer network is a system of interconnected computers and peripheral devices.
For example, it may connect computers, printers, scanners and cameras. Using hardware
and software, these interconnected computing devices can communicate with each other
through defined rules of data communications. In a network, computers can exchange
and share information and resources.
A computer network may operate on wired connections or wireless connections. When
two or more networks are linked or connected and are able to communicate with one
another using suitable hardware and software, it is called an internetwork.

2.0MOBILE COMPUTING

2.1DEFINITION

Using a computing device while in transit. Mobile computing implies wireless transmission
but wireless transmission does not necessarily imply mobile computing. Fixed wireless
applications use satellites, radio systems and lasers to transmit between permanent objects
such as buildings and towers.

3.0 INTERNET TECHNOLOGY AND SERVICE

Voice over internet protocol is a general term for a family of transmission technologies
for delivery of voice communications over IP (internet protocol) networks such as the
Internet or other packet-switched networks. Other terms frequently encountered and
synonymous with VoIP are IP telephony, Internet telephony, voice over
broadband (VOBB), broadband telephony, and broadband phone.

3.2 BLOG

In August 1999, Evan Williams in San Francisco figured out how to update his website by
just typing text into a text box. Normally , to update a website, you use an HTML editor, edit
the text and add HTML formatting, use FTP to upload it, and the page is then available .But
his new method allowed him to open a webpage, type text into a text box, click Submit, and it
was instantly available as a webpage .This makes it easier to add content to websites without
having to bother with HTML .For example, Eleanor has a website at eleanor.com, where she
wants to keep a diary of what she is up to.

4.0TYPE OF NETWORK
4.1PAN
A personal area network (PAN) is a computer network used for communication
among computer devices, including telephones and personal digital assistants, and
proximity to an individuals body. The device may or may not belong to the person
in question. The reach of PAN is typically a few meters.PAN can be used for
communications among the personal devices themselves (intrapersonal
communications),or connecting to a higher level in network and internet (an
uplink). Personal area network may be wired with computer buses such as USB and
FIREWIRE.

4.2VPN

A virtual private network (VPN) is a technology that creates an encrypted

connection over a less secure network. The benefit of using a secure VPN is it
ensures the appropriate level of security to the connected systems when the
underlying network infrastructure alone cannot provide it. The justification for using
VPN access instead of a private network usually boils down to cost and feasibility: It
is either not feasible to have a private network -- e.g., for a travel sales rep -- or it is
too costly to do so. The most common types of VPNs are remote-access VPNs and
site-to-site VPN.
4.3WLAN

A wireless local area network (WLAN) is a wireless distribution method for

two or more devices that use high-frequency radio waves and often include
an access point to the Internet. A WLAN allows users to move around the
coverage area, often a home or small office, while maintaining a network
connection.

4.4 WIMAX

The name "WIMAX" was created by the , which was formed in June 2001 to promote
conformity and interoperability of the standard, including the definition of predefined system
profiles for commercial vendors.[1]The forum describes WIMAX as "a standards-based
technology enabling the delivery of last mile wireless broadband access as an alternative
to cable and DSL".[2] IEEE 802.16m or Wireless MAN-Advanced is a candidate for the 4G, in
competition with the LTE Advanced standard.

WIMAX was initially designed to provide 30 to 40 megabit-per-second data rates, with the
2011 update providing up to 1 for fixed stations.

5.0 CONCLUSION
As a brief conclusion, computer network and communication are expanding rapidly each and
everyday making sharing of information billion times better before they exists. Mobile
computing n is now getting edgier by the day. New technologies are being implemented ,test
apply in mobile computing making us and the future another step closer. The internet is also
getting better along the lines of the information age. Meanwhile, types of network available
for us adding it on top of making computer networks the new mans best friend.
