Introduction

As today we live in a society where there are a lot of people coming most from

Mexico and those undocumented peoples are not just here to work and stole salaries most

of them are here to progress and being professionals. Unfortunately under illegals

circumstances are almost impossible to those students under DACA continue with higher

education. What does DACA is? Basically it is a program that that allows certain

undocumented immigrants to the United States who entered the country as minors to

receive a renewable two-year period of deferred action from deportation and eligibility for

a work permit. Bring in this two genres to analyze which one would leave a better

understanding in a positive way of what and whom the Dreamers and DACA recipients are.

Audience and Purpose

Following with these two genres the audience is a discourse community. Where any

person is or may be further under DACA or Dreamers Act is the intended audience.

However any individual who is also interested on whats going on with all those important

illegal immigrants whom has been residing in the U.S also tie in the intended audience.

Like every genre this in specific the author more than persuading is informing. Besides to

inform both genres are creating an idea of what does the DACA differs for Dreamers Act.

However both genres are more effective to bring a better understanding of what DACA and

Dreamers act are and whom could be eligible. Which In this case persons who have been

residing in the U.S before the age of sixteen, have a high school diploma or a GED with a

clear criminal record would tie with the genres purpose which again is to inform.
3

In both Genres in particular in the Immigrant dreamers fear deportation

nightmare under Trump the author in some way is trying to convince the audience such all

open public and discourse community such as the one under illegal immigration

circumstances to comprehend the harness of the situation, that individuals who are under

both of these programs are experiencing. In the other hand in the article Who and Where

the DREAMers Are, Revised Estimates the author is trying to implement new ideas

beyond the public in general and the discourse community. For example this article is more

specific about what the Dreamers and DACA individuals are and what differ from each

other. By the same hand both of the articles are creating a general awareness in some way.

For instance they are letting the audience know the possibilities to tie in both of these

programs and bringing out possible recommendations to further or actual candidates of the

programs.

Most of the audience is likely to know what both DACA and Dreamers Act are

given their actual relevance. For instance this topic has been very talked these few years

given that immigration has been a major issue during all these time. Most people are likely

to barely know what these programs and they dont understand the significance of the

matter in deep. What most the people know is that there are related to illegal immigrants in

the pursuit of higher education. Were given the circumstances of their migratory status are

negated to continue with education. As a result the audience is in need of proper and

complex information relating what is going on with both of the programs, whom could be

directly and indirectly affected by these programs and how they could find help.

The audience should not take more than ten to fifteen minutes to read and

comprehend the genre given that there are not many difficult words or phrases to further
4

analyze. In the other hand the language is formal and simple given that there is also public

opinion of individuals facing basic education level. The language again is appropriated for

the audience because most of the possible readers are going to be people between fifteen

true forty years old. The specialized vocabulary is ordinary given that both must be easy to

read and comprehend to persons under lower to basic education. Beyond been ordinary

vocabulary there are not existence of improper word or any bad language such as

aggressive words. The significant differences between both of the articles are that in the one

writhe by The American Immigration Council there is more information of what differs

DACA from Dreamers Act and who could be a prospect. Whereas the one written by Jay

Rooting and collogues There are more evidence from individuals that already join one of

these programs. For example what does this individual are experiencing with this new

precedency with Donald Trump in the power. In addition what does the fear from these

illegal immigrants have to lose their eligibility to these opportunities from the previously

mentioned programs offers.

Rhetoric Issues

Each genre establishes credibility by using real and reliable sources of information and both

are effective at the moment of helping archiving the purpose.

Pathos, Ethos and Logos

Each genre evoke to emotional response by stating the importance of the dreamers and the

worried that they have or have been passing. In the other hand each genre are from relevant

program and council such as Bordering on insecurity project and the other who is called

American Immigration Council. The evidence is appropriate for the purpose stated relating
5

to the Dreamers. On the other side of the coin the similarities between those both genres are

that both are trying to make the audience feel and know what those been in those

circumstances like the dreamers are and also being aware of who could be a candidate.

Both genres make credibility by bringing in credible sources with true analysis and data.

While the evidence presented is well pronounced and by prestige associations. In both

articles it seems that the authors have confidence with the topic. Many similarities are that

in both there use reliable and actual information based in DACA recipients. In the other

hand Logic speaking both articles appeals to logic by bringing out statistics, and making

present the voice from those individuals experiment the situation and it make references to

studies where there can encounter similarities between DACA and Dreamers Act.

Structure and Delivery

The information in both of the genres is shaped by the possibilities of the audience

in a proper time and space, given that this is a major and relevant topic in the actuality.

Both genres are well organized and as strategy to do not lose the reader attention follow the

rule of have the same font and format in the full article. One of the significant differences

are that in the first genre shown more statistics and data while in the second the article is

more based un DACA recipes testimonies and surveys. One similarity is that both give

quotes to support.

Conclusion / Synthesis

I found more effective to describe and bring out a better example of what does

DACA and Dreamers are the second Genre Immigrant 'dreamers' fear deportation

nightmare under Trump where found more effective and appropriate to evoke and convey
6

the message to the audience given that this genre more than relative information has more

interest in make the audience comprehend the dreamers and understand the meaning of this

program how it works and the circumstances who each of this persons are passing either

just inform. The impact of both genres would make the audience understand and

comprehend the importance of the Dreamers in our community.
