Acceptance, Recording & Evaluation level as

per ISO11666
Level for Technique 1 and 3 for Thickness 8mm to
15 mm (Acceptance Level 2)
1. Reference Level should be 0db (DAC) as denoted with 1 in sketch

2. Evaluation Level should be reference level-14db as denoted with4


in sketch

3. Recording Level (Denoted with 3 in sketch)


If length of indication is equal to or less than 1 time of
thickness of parent metal then recording Level should be
reference level -8db
If length of indication is greater than thickness of parent
metal then recording Level should be reference level -14db

4. Acceptance Level (Denoted with 2 in sketch)


If length of indication equal to or less than 1 time of
thickness of parent metal then acceptance Level should be
reference level -4db
If length of indication is greater than thickness of parent
metal then acceptance Level should be reference level -10db
.

If length of indication is equal to less than 1 time of
thickness of parent metal then acceptance Level should be
reference level 0db
If length of indication is greater than thickness of parent
metal then acceptance Level should be reference level -6db
.

mm (Acceptance Level 2)
1. Reference Level should be 0db (DAC) as denoted with 1 in sketch
2. Evaluation Level should be reference level-14db as denoted with
4 in sketch

3. Recording Level (Denoted with 3 in sketch)


If length of indication is equal or less than 1/2 of thickness of
parent metal then recording Level should be reference level
-4db
If length of indication is greater than1/2 thickness and equal
to or less than thickness of parent metal then recording Level
should be reference level-10db
If length of indication is greater than thickness of parent
metal then recording Level should be reference level -14db

4. Acceptance Level (Denoted with 2 in sketch)


If length of indication is equal to or less than 1/2 of thickness
of parent metal then acceptance Level should be reference
level 0db
If length of indication is greater than1/2 thickness and equal
to or less than thickness of parent metal then acceptance
Level should be reference level -6db
If length of indication is greater than thickness of parent
metal then acceptance Level should be reference level -10db

If length of indication is greater than thickness of parent
metal then recording Level should be reference level -10db

4. Acceptance Level (Denoted with2 in sketch)


If length of indication is equal to or less than 1/2 of thickness
of parent metal then acceptance Level should be reference
level +4db
If length of indication is greater than1/2 thickness and equal
to or less than thickness of parent metal then acceptance
Level should be reference level -2db
If length of indication is greater than thickness of parent
metal then acceptance Level should be reference level -6db
