proposition.For,ifwesaythattheactualeventofspeciation
throughintermediateformscanneverbedetectedinthefossil
record,thenanytheorybecomessimplyanarticleoffaiththat
canneverbeverified.Howisthatanydifferentfromcreationism?
Besides,suchaspeculationraisesuncomfortablequestionsfor
thefieldofgenetics.Toomuchbiologicalcomplexitymustbebuilt
intotoofewgenerations.ThelevelofDNAchangeaspeciescan
undergoinafewthousandyearsisgrosslyinsufficienttojustify
themorphologicaljumpsfoundinthefossilrecords.

Evenwhenevolutionistswerespeculatingthatevolutionthrough
naturalselectiontakesplacegraduallyovermillionsofyears,due
toasteadyaccumulationofgenemutations,therewereserious
objectionsfrombiologists.FrenchzoologistPierrePaulGrasse,
thepastPresidentoftheFrenchAcademiedesSciencessaid
thatmutationsaremerelyhereditaryfluctuationsarounda
medianpositionwhichdonotproduceanykindofevolution[xiv].
InthebookEvolutionofLivingOrganismshesaysthatmutations
"arenotcomplementarytooneanother,noraretheycumulative
insuccessivegenerationstowardagivendirection.Theymodify
whatpreexists,buttheydosoindisorder...Assoonassome
disorder,evenslight,appearsinanorganizedbeing,sickness,

unchangedformillionsofyearspatternshauntinglyreminiscent
ofcreation.[xv]Indeed,itiseasytoseethatthesudden
extinctionoflifeformsevery26millionyears,broughtaboutby
largebodyimpactsfromouterspace,andtheequallyabrupt
appearanceoffullyformednewspecies,supportstheVedic

thegodsTepeuandGucumatzdecidedtocreatearaceofbeings

Anotherinterestinghypothesisthatcanbederivedfromthe
punctuatedequilibriummodelofevolutionisthatmodernman
musthavealsoappearedinafullyformedfashionafteroneof
theepisodiccreationevents.Sincethemostrecentcreation
eventtookplaceatthebeginningofthecurrentDayofBrahma,
nearly5.5millionyearsago,itimpliesthatmodernhumanbeings
musthavebeenwalkingtheearthforatleast5.5millionyears.
Notsurprisingly,aspercurrentevolutionarytheories,humans
andapeshavesupposedlydivergedfromtheircommon
ancestorsometimearound5.5millionyearsback,andthefirst
hominidsi.e.erectwalkinghumanlikeprimates,appearinthe

However,theproposedcommonancestorofhumansandapes
hasneverbeenfoundand,therefore,itraisesthepossibilitythat
suchacommonancestorispurelyhypotheticalandneverreally
existed.Proponentsofevolutionarytheoryconstantlyassertthat
iftwospecieshavesimilargeneticmakeup,itindicatesthatthey
musthaveacommonancestor.Thus,sincehumansand
chimpanzeeshare98%oftheirDNA,itnecessarilyimpliesthat
theymusthaveevolvedfromacommonancestor.Suchalinear
modeofthinkingisquitesurprising.Havingworkedinthe
InformationTechnologyindustryformorethanadecadeIknow
thatiftwosystemssharesimilarfunctions,itdoesnotmeanthat
theyhavebothevolvedfromacommonpredecessorsystem.It
simplyindicatesthatthesamecodehasbeenusedandifthe
systemsconcernedhaveamodulardesign,thenitindicatesare
useofmodules.Modulesareessentiallyselfcontainedchunksof
codethatachieveaspecificsetoffunctionalitiesandcan
thereforebeeasilyreusedacrosssystems.Infact,intheory,an
entiresystemcanbebuiltsimplybyassemblingasetofmodules
andconnectingthemthroughtheirinterfaces.Thereisnoreason
whysuchathoughtprocesscannotbeappliedtothebiological
systems.Inotherwords,thesamegeneticinformationmaybere
usedacrossmultiplebiologicalorganismsinordertocreatethe
extraordinarydiversityoforganismsthatweseearoundus,
possiblywiththeintentionofcreatingaselfsustaining
ecosphere.Thereisnoneedforcommonancestors.Andjustas
complexinformationsystemsdonotgetdesignedbythemselves,
theincrediblecomplexityoflivingorganisms,whichfarsurpasses
anythingthatismanmade,suggeststhepresenceofan
intelligentforcebehindcreation.

Inaddition,thereissufficientfossilevidencetoindicatethatthe
firsthominids,whichappearedaround5millionyearsago,were
coexistentwithfullyformedanatomicallymodernhumans.This
impliesthatmodernhumanscouldnothave"evolved"fromthese
hominids.Darwinists,however,havecontinuedtoignorethe
contradictoryevidenceandhavecarefullyconstructeda
sequenceofhumanevolutionbeginningwiththe
Australopithecus,whichsupposedlygaverisetoHomohabilis(2
millionyearsago),Homoerectus(1.5millionyearsago),Homo

In1979,researchersattheLaetolisite,Tanzania,inEastAfrica
discoveredfootprintsofmodernhumansinvolcanicashdeposits
over3.6millionyearsold.MaryLeakeyandotherssaidtheprints
wereindistinguishablefromthoseofmodernhumans.Inan
articleintheMarch1990issueofNaturalHistory,R.H.Tuttleof
theUniversityofChicagoconfessedthat"weareleftwith
somewhatofamystery."Thefindclearlyindicatesthatcreatures
withanatomicallymodernhumanbodiestomatchtheir
anatomicallymodernhumanfeetexistedsome3.6millionyears
agoinEastAfrica.

In1965,BryanPattersonandW.W.Howellsfoundasurprisingly
modernhumerus(upperarmbone)atKanapoi,Kenya.Scientists
judgedthehumerustobeover4millionyearsold.HenryM.
McHenryandRobertS.CorruccinioftheUniversityofCalifornia
saidtheKanapoihumeruswasbarelydistinguishablefrom
modernHomo.Alltheseanomalousdiscoverieshavebeen
ignoredbythemainstreamevolutionistsbecausetheydonot
conformtotheirproposedtheoreticalmodels.However,they
certainlysupportthecontentionthatfullyformedanatomically
modernhumanbeingshaveappearedaround5.5millionyears
ago,atthebeginningofthecurrentDayofBrahma.

evidencesofanumberofcrudepaleolithsandadvancedstone
implementswhichhavebeendiscoveredinveryoldsoillayers,
suggestingthattoolusinghumansorhumanprecursorsexisted
inthePliocene(25millionyearsago),theMiocene(525million
yearsago),andevenearlier.Crudepaleolithswerefoundinthe
latenineteenthcenturybyCarlosRibeiro,headoftheGeological
SurveyofPortugalinMiocenelayers(525millionyearsago).At
aninternationalconferenceofarcheologistsandanthropologists
heldinLisbon,acommitteeofscientistsinvestigatedoneofthe
siteswhereRibeirohadfoundimplements.Oneofthescientists
foundastonetoolevenmoreadvancedthanthebetterof
Ribeiro'sspecimens.Crudepaleolithswerealsofoundin
MioceneformationsatThenay,France.S.Laing,anEnglish
sciencewriter,noted:"Onthewhole,theevidenceforthese
Mioceneimplementsseemstobeveryconclusive,andthe
objectionstohavehardlyanyothergroundthanthereluctanceto
admitthegreatantiquityofman."In1880,J.D.Whitney,the
stategeologistofCalifornia,publishedalengthyreviewof
advancedstonetoolsfoundinCaliforniagoldmines.The
implements,includingspearpointsandstonemortarsand
pestles,werefounddeepinmineshafts,underneaththick,
undisturbedlayersoflava,informationsthatgeologistsnowsay
arefrom9milliontoover55millionyearsold!W.H.Holmesof
theSmithsonianInstitution,oneofthemostvocalnineteenth
centurycriticsoftheCaliforniafinds,wrote:"PerhapsifProfessor
Whitneyhadfullyappreciatedthestoryofhumanevolutionasit
isunderstoodtoday,hewouldhavehesitatedtoannouncethe
conclusionsformulated[thathumansexistedinveryancient
timesinNorthAmerica],notwithstandingtheimposingarrayof
testimonywithwhichhewasconfronted."Inotherwords,ifthe
factsdonotagreewiththefavoredtheory,thensuchfacts,even
animposingarrayofthem,mustbediscarded.

Everynewdiscoverypushestheantiquityofmanbackmillionsof
years.However,theincongruousevidences,asandwhenthey
comeup,aresimplyfilteredawayasanomalies.In
L'Anthropologie,1995,MarylnePathouMathiswrote:M.
CremoandR.Thompsonhavewillfullywrittenaprovocativework
thatraisestheproblemoftheinfluenceofthedominantideasofa
timeperiodonscientificresearch.Theseideascancompelthe
researcherstoorienttheiranalysesaccordingtotheconceptions
thatarepermittedbythescientificcommunity.[xviii]Not
surprisingly,averysimilaropinionhadbeenvoicedbyStephen
Gouldwhenhehadformulatedhistheoryofpunctuated
equilibrium:Iamastrongadvocateofthegeneralargumentthat
"truth"aspreachedbyscientistsoftenturnsouttobenomore
thanprejudiceinspiredbyprevailingsocialandpolitical
beliefs.[xix]InBritishJournalfortheHistoryofScience,1995,
TimMurraynotedthat,archeologyisnowinastateofflux,with
practitionersdebatingissueswhichgototheconceptualcoreof
thediscipline.[xx]

Thediscoveryofcrudepaleolithsandadvancedstone
implementspushbackthedatefortheappearanceof
anatomicallymodernhumanstotheperiodaround55million
yearsago,soonaftertheextinctionofthedinosaurs65million
yearsago.However,weshouldalsoremainopentothe
possibilitythatthesestoneimplementsmayhavebeencreated

previousDaysofBrahma.TheMesoamericantextsdescribean
episodicprocessofcreationinwhichmultipleversionsof
humansarecreatedbeforetheappearanceofmodernman.
Theseartifactsappeartobesupportingsuchmythicalaccounts.

Itisworthwhile,inthiscontext,totakeafreshlookatthe
accountsofcreationintheGenesis.AspertheGenesis,creation
tookplaceinsixdaysandsixnights.However,thetext
specificallymentionsthatbirdsandseacreatureswerecreated
onthefifthdaywhilelandanimalsandmanarecreatedonthe
sixth.Therefore,althoughtheentireprocessofcreationtooksix
daysandnights,alllivingcreaturesarecreatedinonlytwodays
andnights.

Wecanreasonablyassumethatthecreationaccountinthe
Genesisdescribestheeventsthattookplaceatthebeginningof
oneoftheDaysofBrahma,possiblythemostrecentonethat
beganaround5.5millionyearsago,sinceittalksaboutthe
creationofman.Inthiscontext,itiseasytoseethatthedayand
nightmentionedheredoesnotrefertoanormal24hoursday
andnightofthehumanssincehumansdidnotexistwhenthe
creativeprocesswasinitiated.Itisfarmorelikelythatitrefersto
adayandnightofthegods.

AspertheVedictexts,aCycleoftheYugasiscompletedonce
thesunmakesacompleterevolutionaroundthemythicalMount
Meru,thecentralaxisoftheworld.Theyalsotellusthata
completerevolutionofthesunaroundtheMountMeruresultsin
adayandnightofthegodsandthecelestialswhoresideonthe
Meru.Thisimpliesthatadayandnightofthegodsisnothing
butthecompleteYugaCycleof24,000yearsduration(i.e.the
PrecessionalYear).Inthiscontext,theascendinghalfofthe
PrecessionalYearof12,000yearscanbeviewedasthedayof
thegodsandthedescendinghalfofthePrecessionalYearof
another12,000yearsasthenightofthegods.

Therefore,thesixdaysandnightsofcreationisequivalentto
144,000years,whilethetwodaysandnightsduringwhichalllife
formswerecreated,isequalto48,000years.Hence,wecan
concludethataspertheGenesis,thereconstructionoftheentire
biosphereatthebeginningofaDayofBrahmatakesaround
144,000years,whilelifeformsappearontheearthoveraperiod
of48,000years.AndaspertheestimatescreatedbyGouldand
Eldredge,speciationafteracatastrophetakesanywhere
between500050,000years.Thisisthesamevaluethatwe
obtainfromtheGenesis!Wegetfurtherconfirmationfromthe
SuryaSiddhanta,theoldestastronomicaltreatiseofIndia,which
wasrevealedtotheasuraMayaattheendoftheGoldenAge.It
states:Onehundredtimesfourhundredandseventyfouryears
passedwhiletheAllWisewasemployedincreatingtheanimate
andinanimatecreation,plants,stars,gods,demonsandthe
rest.[xxi]Thisindicatesthattheentirecreativeprocesstook
47,400years,whichissurprisinglyclosetothevalueproposed
byGouldandEldredgeandtothebiblicalestimates.

Interestingly,thenumbers12,000and144,000occurmanytimes
intheRevelationandhaveanumberofesotericmeanings
associatedwiththem.144,000ismentionedasthenumberof
servantsofGodwhowillbesealedontheirforeheadsbefore

Itisclearthatthedatafromfossilrecordscorroboratewhatthe
ancient,sacredtextstoldusallalong:thattherearecyclesof
creationanddestructionevery24millionyearsthatnewlife
formsabruptlyappearonthesurfaceoftheearthatthe
beginningofeachDayofBrahmathatmodernhumanbeings
musthaveappearedatleast5.5millionyearsagoandthat
speciationatthebeginningofaDayofBrahmatakesaround
48,000years.Ontheotherhand,noneoftheassertionsofthe
standardDarwinianmodelofevolutionarereflectedinthefossil
records.Inthefaceofsuchenormousevidences,theclaimfor
IntelligentDesigncanhardlybeignoredanylonger.

The real evolution starts in the mind ield....you see , the
pinnacleofHumanityiswhatwecallgods..whenthefewevolve,
to tower over the masses , they lead the others into a direction
which increasingly brings immobile ( seemingly ) aspects of
creation under their control , thereby guiding their own
evolution. With further evolution , bored by monotony of the
creation,theycreate...beingstoobservethem,toexperiencejoy
over their creation...Life evolves through Life.. Man becomes
Brahma,ManbecomesVishnu,.......

youwill indthatIhadsuggestedthatKalkimaybea
comet, since a number of ancient texts use adjectives
that portray Kalki as a comet. Besides, comets are
knowntohavebroughttheiceagetoanend,andmany
ancientcultureslookeduponcometsasharbingersof
doom,whichbroughttheendofrulers,kingdomsand
civilizations.So,itispossiblethattheKaliYugamaybe
broughttoanendbya"swarmofcomets"Kalkiand

will get much worse when a comet passes earth.We are in the
