HOW DOES THE PRODUCT
REPRESENT SOCIAL GROUPS?
My product represents men of the age 16 to 30.

My product also represents women of the age 16-30.

For their psychographic they would be strugglers and

aspirers

Most rap magazines have the artist on the front in a

strong posture wearing plain clothes such as black
tops and grey hoodies.
My Magazine
Due to the potential audience of my magazine being
aspirers they to would wear Simplistic clothes

I used black, grey and white for the colour scheme due
Typical Rap to this representing the rap genre and my demographic
Magazine
Due to my demographic being 16 to 30
year old men and women they would be
working class students possibly medium
class adults.

My demographic would wear simple

clothes such as plain T-Shirts or hoodies. I
portrayed this through the front cover and
contents page
I edited my images by grey scaling the images or
removing most of the colour. Rap is stereotypically
dark genre of music and due to my demographic
16 30 year old strugglers this makes sense for the
images to have a dark tone.

The image I used for the double page spreadsheet

was the artists with half of his face being black and
white and the other being in colour. Showing a high
contrast such as the black and white colour
scheme. This stands out such as my potential
audience do.
I used informal language for the double page
spread and slang terms where possible.

This is the type of language that my potential

audience use and how they talk in their day to
day life's.

Due to them being working/middle class they

wont use formal language

I used bold fonts for the main text such as

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH NF and
BEAT as this is easy to read and stands out
from other magazines in which the typography
is neater.
WHAT KIND OF
INSTITUTIONS WOULD
DISTRIBUTE THIS MAGAZINE
WHAT KIND OF INSTITUTIONS WOULD
DISTRIBUTE THIS MAGAZINE

Vibe originally called Volume would be the publication that

would publish and distribute my magazine.

They semi monthly publish their own rap/hip hop magazine

called Vibe

As of 2014 they only distribute their magazines online.

They have two to three million monthly uses per month reading
the online magazine.
This institution already sees great monthly growth. I
think that my magazine would be a valid contribution
alongside their already popular magazine Vibe

Since my target audience is 16 30 year old men and

women they realistically wont have time to go to the
nearest corner shop or store to buy my magazine
