I hope you are having a good day. Thank you for considering me and reading this
letter. I am writing this letter in response to your advertisement for a music teacher.
I was fascinated by your ad online and would like to be considered for the position. I
am very passionate about teaching music and would like to bring that spirit to
Northglenn High School.

Your ad stands out to me because I thoroughly enjoy teaching music and would love
to be a part of your program. I participated in University of Northern Iowas student
teacher program, working with the Cedar Rapids High School Music department. I
chose Cedar Rapids High School to work with because of their outstanding rank
among competing schools in both their academic and music programs. I was highly
interested in the jazz band program, and felt I could use my expertise in the area to
help the students as I play a wide range on instruments. I strongly feel that I can
help students learn both the language of music and a love for it. I really enjoyed
directing the Cedar Rapids Community Band and would love to continue doing so
with the Northglenn High School Band.

I also have a minor degree in Psychology and strongly believe that I can use that
experience to help me reach out to effectively help every student. Psychology can
help a teacher determine how students learn best and how to help struggling
students. This degree would be beneficial to the school district because using
psychology techniques to enhance learning has been proven to help the students
learn more information faster, and be able to retain it for longer periods of time. I
would love to be able to help teach music to the students at Northglenn High School
using enhanced education techniques.
