First Grade Informance

Save the Date!

Greetings First Grade Families and Friends,

The students and I have been busy singing, dancing, chanting and creating in the music room
since I returned from my maternity leave in March. While I cherished my time at home with my
own child, it has been a lot of fun returning to Bryant and getting to make music with yours as
well! This Spring, due to such limited contact time with the students, 1st grade parents and
families are invited to join their child for an Informance on the week of May 29th, in lieu of a
Spring Sing Concert. We hope to see you there!

What is an informance?
An informance is an informative and informal way for our students to share their music-making.
All informances will take place in the music classroom and will give family members a chance
to experience a typical music class with their student. During the class we will be performing
songs, chants, and movement activities to showcase the skills and concepts we have developed
over the course of the year. Parents and friends will be able to participate with us in class and
will leave with a better understanding of how our students learn music. We hope you will join us
for this fun, informative and musical experience!
