Tsunamis are ocean waves of large amplitude, caused by

earthquake, volcanic eruptions or atmospheric disturbances.

The deformation of the sea bottom near the epicenter of the
earthquake is transmitted to the surface, causing earthquake
waves which spread across the surface. The wave height of the
tsunami is greater at lower depths; along the coast itself it can
reach the height of 20 to 30 meters and make huge damage.
They occur mainly on the shores of the Pacific and the Indian
Ocean. After the earthquake in Indonesia on December 26,
2004, a huge tsunami appeared and struck the coastline of the
Indian Ocean; the wave impact was catastrophic; about 280,000
people died.

Near the epicenter, the height of the seismic waves can be

extremely high.

A film based on a true story of the survival and destiny of one

family during one of the greatest natural catastrophes of our
time - the tsunami in Thailand in 2004.
