Reflection: As students grow up, they develop different skills based on how they were taught and based on the
people around each student. Listening with understanding and empathy for example is very important when it
comes to listening to your teacher and other students. The ability to extract information is key for a student's
understanding so they can use that information to provide other examples and being able to build upon it.
These same students should be able to enjoy the subject and not just be there for the ride. They should find
humor in most of the activities that they do or it will start to grow into more of a tedious problem. This
enjoyment brings creativity and provides for a new way of learning. Beginning to listen and find humor is a
positive mindset that helps develop the academic skills for all students.
