Introduction
This course Instructional Multimedia Design and Development focused on basic elements

and technical aspects of multimedia design and development to support teaching and learning in

diverse classrooms. Included are selection of hardware and software, design principles, hands-on

production, classroom applications, and discussion of issues and useful resources. Within this

course we have developed and followed design principles to design multimedia products. We

applied research-based instructional design strategies and basic principles of multimedia learning

to the design and development of multimedia (Allen, 2012). We selected and evaluated digital

tools for accuracy, suitability, and compatibility with technology infrastructure multimedia.. We

have examined and evaluated principles of visual and media technology related to instructional

media and technology. As well as discussed the ways in which we can utilize these various tools

within our various instructional settings. I feel as though I have learned innovative strategies as

they relate to multimedia design. This is excellent primarily because I am an English Language

Arts Teacher. I am now able to teach students how to develop instructional multimedia to grab

the attention of their audiences.

I also work as an AVID Site Coordinator at my school. AVID is a college-readiness

program that targets students in the academic middle and provides these students with different

forms of strategies and methodologies to accelerate them. The tools learned in this course are

extremely helpful in my current role as AVID Site Coordinator due to the fact that our current

AVID Students can utilize these strategies when developing multimedia projects within their

classes.
Review of Learning

Although, Assignment 6 was the most challenging assignment I learned a great deal from

completing this assignment. I actually utilized one of my colleagues as the client. She suggested

that she needed assistance implementing technology within her classroom. I asked her if she

would be so kind to be a client of mine and of course she agreed. It was very fun working with

her.

My short-term career goals include becoming an Instructional Technology Learning Coach or

Specialist. My long-term career goals include becoming a principal at a school that has a school-

wide focus in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM);

preferably an elementary school. This is due to the fact that I realize that college begins in

elementary school. It is my goal now as well as my future goal to promote instructional

innovation and student engagement in active learning through innovative uses of technology.

Assignment #6 will assist in this area. When developing professional development strategies

these were helpful strategies that were learned that can be utilized.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the most important points of my essay includes my Review of Learning.

This is the most important piece of my essay due to the fact that I think that my leaning will be

enhanced by providing and creating a learning environment that improves public education. It is

my goal to improve public education within the perimeters of my classroom now within my
current profession. However, I plan to develop a learning environment that improves the quality

of the school and all of the employed educators in my future career as principal.
