19. Attach the supplied mounting bracket I to the
right side of the finisher at the position shown in
the illustration. (One supplied screw D)
22. Install the finisher on the main unit.
Note:
Align the hook portion of the mounting bracket E or
the mounting bracket F with the hole on the right
side of the finisher. Then, push the finisher toward
the rear.

20. Attach the supplied stapler cover. (Four supplied

23. Open the front door of the finisher and secure

the finisher to the main unit. (One supplied

25. Install the supplied exit tray (lower) to the up/

down section of the finisher. (Two supplied

Note:
When installing the exit tray (lower), hook the
guide holes of the exit tray (lower) over the four
mounting clamps and then fix it.

27. Plug in the two connectors of the finisher. Fit the
head of the cable tie into the mounting hole on
the main unit.

29. Reinstall the users guide holder, which has
been removed in step 2, to the upper or lower
position shown.

28. Reattach the cover removed in step 26.

Note:
Be careful not to pinch the harness.
When installing this option to C554e/C554/
554e, insert two tabs A into the holes on the
main unit cover first.
Then fit two tabs B into the holes.
30. Push the rear left part of the finisher toward the
main unit to place the finisher parallel to the
main unit. Bring the plate springs of the mount-
ing bracket E or the mounting bracket F into con-
tact with the plate of the finisher.
Note:
Ensure the above mentioned process to be done
appropriately in order to secure the finishers
grounding.

1. Open the finishers front door and slide the sad-
dle unit out.
2. Remove the left and right covers as shown in the

1. Remove the cover shown in the illustration from

4. Remove the exit tray from the saddle stitcher.
(Two screws and one connector)

5. Remove the cover shown in the illustration from
the finisher. (Six screws)

6. Adjust the height of the casters at the paper exit
side of the finisher (front/rear) to place the plate
spring in contact with the main unit.
Note:
Adjust the front caster at opening section at where
the exit tray of the saddle stitcher is removed.

7. Install the removed covers, exit tray, and driven
part, reversing the removal procedure.
8. Slide the saddle unit in the finisher, and close the
finishers front door.
