2. Price Bid.

5) The Technical Offer shall contain a comparative statement of Technical Specifications demanded by
MIE and Offer Details submitted by the Bidder.

6) The Technical Offer shall be supported by product Catalogues & Data Sheets and also technical
details of Bought-Out-Items with copies of Product Catalogue to the extent possible
7) The Commercial Offer (given with the Technical Offer) shall contain the Scope of Supply and the
Un-Priced Part of the Price - Bid, for confirmation.
Section- IV Bid Security
8) Bid security (bid-bond) Not applicable for this bid.
Section-IV Bid Submission
9) Bids shall be submitted in Two Parts in two separate sealed covers as under:
9.1) Envelope #1 will contain the PART- I: Technical proposal and commercial offer BID and
shall comprise of Original Technical Bid document duly signed & stamped on each page, bid
covering letter, pre-qualification related documents, Annual reports, technical information etc.
and will be super scribed PART I: TECHNICAL BID, TENDER NO. OPENING DATE
AND TIME, BIDDERS NAME AND ADDRESS.
9.2) Envelope #2 will contain only the PART II: FINANCIAL BID and shall comprise the
Financial Bid document duly filled in, signed and stamped on each page. The envelope will be
super scribed PART - II: FINANCIAL BID, TENDER NO., BIDDERS NAME AND
ADDRESS.
9.3) Both the envelopes #1 & #2 will be sealed separately and will be put on another envelop,
sealed and super scribed TECHNICAL & FINANCIAL BIDS, TENDER NO., OPENING
DATE AND TIME, BIDDERS NAME AND ADDRESS
Section-V Terms and conditions
10) Payment 10% advance payment against unconditional indirect Bank guarantee, 90% will be paid
by irrevocable L/C payable at sight against presentation of original shipping documents.
11) The vendor shall, within two weeks of the effective date of contract, provide a 10% of the contract
price as performance bond for the due performance of the contract.
12) The performance bond shall be null or void 18months after commissioning and operational
acceptance.
13) All Bank charges outside Ethiopia will be for the account of the bidder & inside Ethiopia will be for
the account of MIE.
14) MIE reserves the right to cancel the bid fully or partially.
