Licensing of the HDClone product family

Products from the HDClone product family are available under the following license types.

License types
The license types named above cover different extents of use as follows.

Freeware License
A Freeware Licenses allows to use the product free of charge2) on arbitrary computers.

Single License
A Single License allows for firm installation and permanent use2) of the product on one (1) computer of the
licensee.

Workplace License
A Workplace License allows for firm installation and permanent use2) of the product on up to two (2)
computers of the licensee, for example one PC and one laptop.

Technician License
A Techician License allows one (1) licensee (service technician) to use the product in two ways:
Firm installation and permanent use2) of the product on up to two (2) computers of the licensee, for
example one PC and one laptop.
Use on arbitrary PCs for reasons on maintenance by the licensee by means of the provided token. The
software may be installed firmly on these PCs, but requires the token to be connected in order to run it.

Volume License
A Volume License allows for firm installation and permanent use 2) of the product on a certain number of PCs
according to the license's particularly granted volume 3).

Maintenance License
Allows for use on arbitrary PCs for reasons on maintenance by the licensee by means of the provided
token. The software may be installed firmly on these PCs, but requires the token to be connected in order
to run it.

Private Licenses comprise the same scope of use, while being limited to non-business use only.
2)
In case of time-limited licenses this only applies for the granted validity period. It can be extended upon expiry.
3)
The granted volume can be selected when purchasing a Volume License.
