The project aims at the automation of 1600 accounting units throughout the
Egyptian government, both large and medium, the automation of all manual
accounting as well as enhancing the performance of the various public entities.
This will be accomplished through providing tools for the flow and analysis of
information electronically, which will assist in the extraction of the states final
statement of account in a punctual and accurate manner. In addition to
electronically linking together the governments main accounting units,
subsidiary units and the Ministry of Finance, reducing the usage of paper based
transactions within the governments account units, and placing a standardized
design for databases created for governments general applications, placing
standards for the minimum amount of work required and making it accessible to
the various governmental accounting units and providing the necessary
information infrastructure to the government in order to monitor and plan its
financial resources.

The project aims at enhancing the usage of state resources through creating an
inventory system, in which a record is created for all inventories existing in
governmental institutions in order to control and make usage of it to the outmost
benefit, reduce the amount of unsold inventory as well as mechanizing their
movement. All this will be achieved through the deployment of the inventory
system through the various governmental institutions and the creation of one
central database at the General Authority for Government Services.
