Scenario
After completion of your Diploma you intend to launch your own business. Select a
type of small business that interests you. Keep in mind the following: the goals and
objectives of the business, the customer needs and resources, local competition,
quality issues, best practice in the industry, financial performance.

Brainstorm and research your idea for a business addressing the following
questions:

Keeping the business goals and objectives in mind:
A. Develop an action plan to provide a clear and coherent strategic direction in accordance
with organizational business goals and objectives.
The shop name is Toys Paradise it's like heaven for children and Toys Paradise vision and
mission are:
Vision: To educational toy retailer for children offering the right products at the right time in
enjoyable and comfortable shopping environment.
Mission: To provide high quality, safe, and innovative toys to the customer.
The business will start with 50,000 SAR as capital and I invest my own money in this business.
The potential customers are kids and teenagers from age 3 months to 18 years old.
Toys Paradise shop have a lot of competitor like Toys R Us and Toy triangle. Toys Paradise
have three employees and the shop will offering new, creative and safe toys and the prices fit all
classes of society and there will be a lot of gifts and discounts for the customers.
B. Explain how you would develop a quality system for the organization in line with industry
standards and compliance requirements.
To develop the quality, the shop will offer new, creative design and safe toys with good prices and
suitable for all ages and drew the attention of everyone to the shop.

C. Describe how you would develop performance measures and operational targets to conform
to the business plan.
Toys Paradise has to listen to all customers complaint and fix the problem quickly and give all
the employees training courses and they will have to be more active with the customers.

D. Develop strategies for innovation, using existing, new or emerging technologies, where
practicable, to improve business performance.
Always keep innovating, coming up with new idea.
Customer can book the limited and the new games online from the website of the shop.

A. Explain what key indicators you would use to monitor business
performance and customer satisfaction.
- Current Ratio: to pay all of Paradise shop financial obligations in one
year
- Concern classification: there is no different classification on the shop
its for all type of customers with the same prices.
- Competitive pricing: the prices fit all classes of society and there will
be a lot of gifts and discounts for the customers.
- Achieve high average on the weekly sales to meet the aim goal of Toys
Paradise shop.
- Average resolution time will take one day at least to solve the problem
on the shop.
- Toys Paradise shop should have customer services email, phone call,
chat counts to can answer for all the customers complaint and to book
the game that they want.
B. Describe the stock control and cost control measures (including
staffing decisions) you would use to maximize efficiency.

Stock control:
- To order the right amount of material for supply to the shop.
- Recycling excess toys in the inventory and sell it again in the shop.
- Organize the shop data and know how long it will take to order
different parts and products.

Cost control measures:


- Build stronger relationships with suppliers to have more leverage when
it comes time to negotiate.
- Minimize the number of the employee that will control the cost
measure.
- Keep track of the budget to increase the shop income.

C. Explain the quality control measures you would apply to provide the
goods and services according to customer specifications, cost
control, organizational, legal and technical requirements.

A. How would you monitor/review the achievement of operational


targets to ensure optimum business performance in accordance with
the organizations business plan?
I will do a weakly check to see the employee's performance, if they are doing
their jobs right to achieve the shop goals and do a daily count for the
customer who visited the shop to know if the number of customer are
increased or decreased. Check if the customers are attractive to the shop,
and to do some changes on the shop design.
