ž It faces unsustainable urban issues such as: urban

sprawling; conversion of rural, water bodies and natural
areas; traffic jams; air pollutions; urban slums and
extreme annual flooding.
ž Floods were the regular event for Jakarta City. And
historically Jakarta was inundated because of debit’ s
increases of its rivers. And major floods were recorded
in 1621, 1654, 1918, 1976, 1997, 2002, and 2007.
