Discussion: Which domain are we teaching? What is the Topic of the Unit of work? Teaching which age group?
Other Information: Using inquiry approach, Linking the unit of lessons with the Australian Curriculum, Activities
are age appropriate and develop students learning skills and knowledge. Use the format on Scootle when creating
the unit of work.
Conclusions: We decided to plan the unit of work on Geography by focusing on Weather. Teaching level 5/6
students. Each group member needs to suggest 2 activities for the program.

Other Information: During research, we found Natural disasters will be more interesting for students to

investigate and develop their understanding about the environment. Floods are common in Australia. There are lots
of educational resources available.
Creating a concept map for the focused learning plan.
Conclusions: We agreed to plan the lessons on Floods. Are topic would be Preparing, Understanding, and
Responding to Floods.
