I have always wondered at a few interesting paradoxes in


life. While on one hand there is so much spoke about all
human beings are equal on the other hand we nd there
is a huge discrimination based on the success. And
interestingly, the world accepts this discrimination. Actually
it is that discrimination which makes the success
valuable. Higher the discrimination higher the attraction
of that success. There is a world of dierence between a
winner and runner up. They may be very close but yet very
far. In fact most inspirations come from this discrimination
Sridhar Ranganathan for success.
Managing Director
President Club program was a distinct discrimination and
it was one of the most admired events. People tirelessly
worked and competed with each other to achieve this
rare distinction/discrimination. In the end it is those rare
and resilient ghters who nally made it to the top. They
had an opportunity to rub shoulders with the top names
of the International countries from Asia Pacic, Europe,
Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Canada.

I am sure it was a mind blowing experience for each of

Pinnacle Of Success
How important is it to be a Winner?
Or is it important at all?
To me, it is a question, the answer to which is Winning is the
dierence between Existence and Extinction. Talking very
fundamentally, any creature on this planet, howsoever Big or
Small, existing today, is doing so as it has some element of the
Urge to WIN in it, despite all the natural odds that may be
stacked up against it. All those who lost that urge,
unfortunately, are not seen today. Even in the human society
around us, why do we look more up to Optimists than
Debashish Chatterjee pessimists? Simply it is because evolutionarily, human nature
has been to win over odds, and that is why we are the most
HR Director supreme species on earth today.
At Allergan, each year, in the conquest for being a Sales Winner,
we witness this human nature playing out so well. Despite
numerous extraneous challenges, we have a bunch of those who
make it a point to be at the top and be achievers consistently year
on year. We also have those, who are equally skilled, but do not
make it or make it to the top inconsistently. As a third category,
we see those who reach the Pinnacle of success as Presidents
Club winners and hog all the limelight. We also saw another
category last year, when a couple of our colleagues ensured that
they were not only Achievers but remained at the top of the
charts as Presidents Club winners for the second year in
succession-a very rare feat.
As per me, what makes a dierence between these
categories is not only a Wish to Win but more signicantly,
an Urge or Hunger to be at the Top, a Plan to reach there
BOLDer Together and a consistent execution of the Plan to ensure one
remains at the TOP, despite all odds. I know, the race is
already on for the Top slots. All the best to all the

Success mantra for us is focusing on secondary sales specially
new as well as promoted products. We take survey for
glaucoma, tears, cataract & allergy brands based on that we
segment the doctors it gives clarity right product for right
customers.

Every week we compile the secondary sales product wise to nd


out how much increase compare to last week & end of the
month how much secondary sales will be doing, my colleagues

appreciated & celebrated.

We are not only focusing on sales but also career growth too.
For example "CONCORDIA" is the forum each colleagues has to

month sales details, SFE, activities etc.

Kudos to all my team members for this wonderful performance.

This success started from 'strong SFE' in all 3 parameters. None


of my team members missed in four months. This certainly
ensure consistent follow-up with the customers on regular
basis. Enhancing the business of growth driving/ focus brands.
8 out of 10 brands are above 100%. Special attention towards
POB counters, which helps to analyze real time secondary.
Weekly secondary compilation to understand the uctuations

which is driving us since last 4 months.

Not only that, we as a team had set an objective of increasing our


productivity by 50% from Q-1 to Q-2, and doubling from Q-1 to Q-3.

Success doesn't come from what you do occasionally. It comes from what you
do consistently. In similar way I attribute my success towards day in and day
out continues & consistent implementation of basics like execution of
strategies, eective in clinical communication, adhering to SFE norms without
any deviation. Regular reinforcement with regular users, Trial and non users.
When comes to customer approach I always does it customized based on the
category in which the Doctors belongs to which helps in identifying the exact
M Karunakaran need of the customer. All these approaches are instrumental towards
Chennai 2 - Retina increasing my user base and business in few of the major institutions.

The Success factor for my achievement are strategy implementation, on time


follow up and using a maximum CRM resources available within the
organization. "Never Give Up" attitude has lead me towards this success.

and eective implantation of marketing strategies. Every customer call is
important and opportunity that helps me to remain very focus while discus-

discussed with most of the customers & grabbed their mind share towards
Acupat. Patient support program of Lumigan (provision) created opportunity
to get more new patients.

It was simply awesome Its life time achievement. Interaction with Global leader
was very encouraging, special time & opinion sharing. It was great interaction with
PC winners of other country like know their working style, their business sense and
sharing of our values etc. I went with my wife & she was so happy with all the
arrangement and said Dont Miss it! I want to come next time too. I am planning
to achieve it again. For that I started calculating my sales, growth, PCPM and
consistency. Thank you, India sales Team for providing us a platform to interact
with global leaders and winners of other countries. Keep providing the same Kiran Lama
opportunities.

I felt awesome during my rst President club. It was a great experience and
highly motivational workshop. Work harder & rewards will make you proud.
First time ever, I interacted with the senior person of my company. They were
very polite and caring. Me and my partner made many friends. Swimming with
Dolphin was one of the memorable moment of my life. I went with my
maternal uncle and he felt very proud. He expressed me that "Anand you are
working in the one of the best organization, which is so much caring of his
employee". I am planning for PC awards 2017. I just wanted to convey to
Anand Agarwal Allerganite " Experience the leisure and care! Best reward of your hard work!

Give your more than 100% and achieve this prestigious President Club Award. It
was a stunning & mind-blowing experience for me my partner as well. I will repeat
my stupendous performance in 2017 as well and I will deantly motivate my
colleagues to earn this life time experience. Interaction with leaders was inspiring.
I enjoyed every moment with PC winners of others countries.

Mauritius trip was excellent PC workshops were great. Interaction with Mr. Marc
P was wonderful & very energetic. He shared with us new upgrade system where
we can nd all the information and what will be the future of each specialty.
Spending time with Mr. Raj was wonderful and it was my privilege to spend time
with APAC head. The interaction with others countries PC winners is a great
experience & rst-time I practically experienced that my company is a global and
present in all the major countries of the world. I came to know other countries way
of work and gave me idea to implement in my territory. I went to Mauritius with
my mother & she enjoyed every moment. My plan of execution is to focus on SFE
parameters and bring some new doctors in my prescriber list. This will help me to Surajit Brahma
achieve in year 2017. Thank you so much for this lifetime opportunity Allergan. I
will suggest everybody to gear up for this great event in Allergan. This trip you and
your partner will never forget and it will one of your best memory in life like mine.

My trip to Mauritius was awesome. My take away messages from workshop is


collaboration with team mates, formation of Allergan medical institutions for
the betterment of upcoming Drs and retaining of key talents worldwide.
Global leaders were very friendly and cooperative. They felt us special. My wife
was very happy with the tour and motivated me to repeat the performance
again & again. In my territory, me and Subhrodeep Sen were part of PC 2016.
In year 2017, we all four will be part of PC award 2017. Each & every Allerganite
should perform to achieve PC award and cherish the hospitality.

What a luxurious experience I had!!! It was excellent interaction with Global
Leaders and good to see their approach in terms of future plans for India. Yes, it
was wonderful to interact with other country colleague, we mutually exchange our
ideas and came to know some good business ideas. I accompanied my cousin and
he shared that he lived like a King for 6 days and it was life time memorable
moment for him which he shared amongst all our relatives. I am a strong believer
of beautiful Quote that Winners do not do dierent things; they do the things
dierently and I am applying the same in my territory. Dream to Achieve Plan
