May Noncompetitive Newsletter

We are getting close to the end of the dance season. Please make sure your child is coming too
all classes to prepare for the year end show. We are so excited to see the great progress our
dancers are making this year. Just a reminder tuitions for may are now do. Please get this paid
so that we can get everyones accounts closed out for the dance season. Our last class will be
held on May 18th. Just a reminder registration is now open for our summer program. You can
register Monday-Friday between 4-8:00 pm at the front desk.

Bring a Friend to Class Month

Do you have a friend that is interested in joining Gravity Dance Center? Bring them to any Jazz
Technique or Ballet class the month of May to let them experience what Gravity is all about.
Remember, you get $20 cash for every friend you get to sign up for Gravity in the Fall season.

Year End Video and Pictures.

We have exciting news for our Year End Videography and Photography, Limelight Photography
will be taking photos and video of all 3 year end shows. You will be able to choose what show
you would like to purchase and what dances your child is in. These photos will be action shots
taken while they are dancing in their routines. The pricing will be as follows:
Videography: $20 per video
Photography: $35
Videography and Photography: $50
Account Payment Change
Beginning May 10, 2017 all credit card and PayPal payments will be assessed a 3% transaction
fee. We will be offering the ability to pay by echeck and also set your account up on auto-pay
using your checking account.
Summer Challenge
We are so excited to announce we will be having a summer flexibility and strength challenge.
The challenge will be 5 handstand push ups (Toes only touching the wall), 10 Tricep pushups,
and all 3 square splits. The students that get all 3 of these strength and flexibility skills will get a
shoutout on our facebook page and a photo hung up on our wall at the studio.
 Tumbling Show Times
Our tumbling shows will be on May 6th in studio 1. All hair needs to be pulled back in a low
ponytail.
1st show 10:00am- Classes T, V, & R, Jr. & Sr. Company, Comets.
2nd show 11:30am-Classes U, S, & X, Shooting Stars, Tiny, Mini,& Petite Company, Jr.
& Sr. Company, Comets.
3rd Show 1:00 pm- Classes W, Q, & Y, Jr. & Sr. Company, Comets.

Year End Review Dress Rehearsal Times

May 19, 2017 @ Granger High School
This will be a dress rehearsal in full costume with hair and makeup. All hair needs to be in a high sock
bun. Makeup is a smokey eye, pink blush, and red lipstick.
5:00-6:00 pm- A, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, and J
6:00-7:00 pm- K, L, M/O, N, P, B Boy Class, and Beg. Cheer.
*Teams will not need to come to the dress rehearsal

Tights and Shoe Info

Costumes have arrived and are ready for pickup. If you have not picked them up yet, please do so this
week. Please be aware that your account must be current in order to receive the costume. Once you
receive your costumes, please hang them up and steam them if necessary. Make sure all costumes are
wrinkle free by picture day, Saturday March 11th. Below is listed what type of shoes each class needs to
wear for pictures and the Year End Show. To purchase tights and shoes for your dancer please go to
gravitydancecenter.com and click on online store. The login information is Studio: Gravity Dance Center
Studio Passphrase: GravityDance1. The correct tight brand and color is on this website under the combo
class tab. Please get these as soon as possible. You will need your dancers shoes and tights by picture
day on March 11th. They will also wear them at the Year End Show on May 20th . If you are in a Hip Hop
class you will need black tennis shoes, you can find these in our online store as well. All Hip Hop classes,
Bboy class, Class P and Beginning Cheer will be wearing the same costume as the Christmas show. All
new tumblers after the Christmas show, if you have not tried on a biketard and filled out an order form at
the front desk you need to do this as soon as possible.
