Our Competition season is coming to an end and we couldnt be more proud of all our students!
What a great season for us at Gravity Dance Center. Please make sure that your children are
still attending all classes to get ready for the year end show. Our final classes will be held on
Thursday, May 18th, this includes all tumblers. Just a reminder May tuition is due, and all
accounts must be at $0 in order for your child to participate in the year end show.

Bring a Friend to Class Month

Do you have a friend that is interested in joining Gravity Dance Center? Bring them to any Jazz
Technique or Ballet class the month of May to let them experience what Gravity is all about.
Remember, you get $20 cash for every friend you get to sign up for Gravity in the Fall season.

Year End Video and Pictures.

We have exciting news for our Year End Videography and Photography, Limelight Photography
will be taking photos and video of all 3 Year End shows. You will be able to choose what show
you would like to purchase and what dances your child is in. These photos will be action shots
taken while they are dancing in their routines. The pricing will be as follows:

Videography: $20 per video

Photography: $35
Videography and Photography: $50

Account Payment Change

Beginning May 10, 2017 all credit card and PayPal payments will be assessed a 3% transaction
fee. We will be offering the ability to pay by echeck and also set your account up on auto-pay
using your checking account.

Summer Challenge

We are so excited to announce we will be having a summer flexibility and strength challenge.
The challenge will be 5 handstand push ups (Toes only touching the wall), 10 Tricep pushups,
and all 3 square splits. The students that get all 3 of these strength and flexibility skills will get a
shoutout on our facebook page and a photo hung up on our wall at the studio.

Summer Gravity Class Card

We will be doing our punch card system different this year. When registering for summer
classes you will have a punch card put into your child's profile for however many punches you
purchased. When your child comes to class the teacher will punch their card electronically
through the system. If your child is out of punches and attends class the system will
automatically charge your account $10. This will be a much more productive way for us to keep
track of who is coming to class and tracking requirements and the best part is you won't have to
worry about losing a punch card!! There will be no sharing punches purchased between
siblings.

Year End Banquet

Parents, if you have not paid for your Banquet ticket yet, Please do so this week!! We will
be holding our Gravity Year End Banquet at The Gathering Place in Gardner Village on
Tuesday, May 23, 2017 from 6-8pm. All dancers and cheerleaders will attend at no charge.
Parents will need to pay $25 to the front desk by April 20, 2017. At least one parent/guardian is
required to be with your dancer/cheerleader, or you need to make arrangements for them to
attend with a team member parent. This event will be for team member and parents only. No
siblings due to limited space. We are also very excited to announce that we will have a
professional photographer coming and taking pictures during the entire event and everyone will
receive all digital pictures at no cost!

Defying Gravity Summer Intensive 2017

We are so excited for our Defying Gravity Summer Intensive! The kids had such a great time
last year and learned a lot from amazing instructors! All team members are required to attend
but we would love for our combo kids to attend as well. This will be a great opportunity for all
dancers and cheerleaders to learn, and experience some new instructors. If you pay this
amount by May 1st, your dancer will receive a free gift. Registration forms are now at the front
desk.
Dance Summer Intensive: The dates for the dancers will be July 19th-21st, 2017 with a special
showing for parents the night of the 21stth to show off what the dancers have learned. The fee
for intermediate and advanced dancers will be $150 and for beginners $90.
Cheer: The dates for the cheer intensive will be July 17-19th held at the University of Utah.

EPIC Dance Convention

We are excited to announce that we have our dates for Epic Dance Convention for next season.
We will be attending Epic on August 25th & 26th at the Davis Conference Center in Layton along
with other very talented studios. Our dancers will receive an amazing learning experience with
much smaller class sizes than other conventions. Please remember that all of our Company
members plus members of Equinox, Spectrum, and Nova will be required to attend Epic next
season. We highly suggest that all of our other team members attend as well, it is an amazing
experience that you wont want to miss! The cost of Epic is $210 that will be split into 3
payments during the summer. The payment plan will go as follows, $70 due by June 15th, $70
due by July 13th, and $70 due by August 3rd.

Our tumbling shows will be on May 6th in studio 1. All hair needs to be pulled back in a low
ponytail.
