Twopointsourceinterferenceoccurswhenwavesfromonesourcemeetupwithwavesfromanother
source.Ifthesourceofwavesproducescircularwaves,thenthecircularwavefrontswillmeetwithinthe
mediumtoproduceapattern.Thepatternischaracterizedbyacollectionofnodesandantinodesthat
liealongnearlystraightlinesreferredtoasantinodallinesandnodallines.Ifthewavesourceshave

InthispartofLesson3,wewillinvestigatetherationalebehindthenumberingsystemanddevelop

Thisinvestigationwillinvolvetheanalysisofseveralantinodalandnodallocationsonatypicaltwopoint
sourceinterferencepattern.Itwillbeassumedinthediscussionthatthewavesourcesareproducing
waveswithidenticalfrequencies(andthereforeidenticalwavelengths).
