Introduction
PROBLEM STATEMENT
With operations expanding across the globe, Oil and Gas companies encounter several challenges with
capturing, analyzing and managing subsurface data
Several organizations do not have a plan and approach to standardize and streamline processes, workflows,
toolsets and governance around managing subsurface data
Getting this right is of utmost importance in order to fully realize the value from its subsurface data in an
effective & timely fashion
OBSERVATIONS
Organizations are plagued with compounded Information Management Issues resulting from Governance,
Process, Technology & Data issues associated with subsurface data management
Several benefits can be realized by leveraging controlled governance and best practices in order to make
subsurface data easily accessible and available for consumption by the end users as a valuable corporate asset
IMPACT TO BUSINESS
Organizations suffer Missed Opportunities, Increased Operating Costs, Reduced Worker Productivity and
Higher Risks of Non-Compliance because they do not get it right
