13. A woman working in an industry, after availing the maternity leave joined back in the
duty leaving her child in the Crche provided by the same industry. But she was denied
permission to feed the child at regular intervals. Decide what remedy is available to the
woman worker.
14. In a private organization, the employer has misbehaved with one of his woman colleague,
and also threatened her by saying, If you complain about the same, you may lose your
job. As a result, she was silently suffering without complaining to anyone. Advise what
remedy is available to her.
15. In a nuclear family, the husband refused to share anything with his wife. The wife does
not know when he will come home, when he will go out and whether he will take food at
home or not. But, he never harassed her physically. Decide the remedy available to her.
16. A, a Hindu girl, aged 15 years, married a man of 21 years. Is the marriage valid? Give
valid reasons in support of your answer.

against her under the domestic violence law in India. Can he succeed? Explain with
reasons.
16. A working woman conceived for the third time during her service. She applied for
maternity relief which was refused on the ground that she already availed it twice before.
Is such refusal valid? Discuss.

her only during the Iddat period of 3 lunar months and thereafter refused to maintain
her. Unable to maintain herself, she seeks legal relief from the court. Advise her as to her
rights.
15. A induced B, a young woman to believe that he was marrying her by putting vermilion
on her forehead in a temple. Thereafter they lived together for a few months.
Subsequently, he denied that he married her. What is the offence committed by A?
Explain.
16. A couple wanted to have a male child. When the wife became pregnant, the couple
underwent ultrasonography to know the gender of the fetus. The diagnostic center
informed them that it was a female fetus. Thereafter, the wife underwent abortion during
which it was found that in fact it was a male child. Do to couple have any legal rights in
the case? Explain.

employee. Decide.
17. Radhas husband died in an accident. Having been influenced by her in-laws, Radha
decided to commit Sati with a firm belief that by doing so, she will not become a widow
in her next life. When police arrested her in-laws, they argued that they should enjoy
freedom to follow their cultural practices. Decide the merits of the case.
18. X, a divorced Muslim woman sought maintenance from her husband. Can she get
maintenance under the present law?

16. X and Y wanted to get married but postponed it as X did not have any job and also Ys
family members were not willing for the marriage. One day, X took Y into the pooja
room, put sindhoor on her forehead and told her that they were legally married.
Thereafter, they lived together. Few days later, X got a job and now he denies his
marriage with Y. Ys parents filed a case against X on the charges of cheating and rape.
Discuss.
17. A tortured his wife B and made a number of attempts to murder her in order to get more
money from her parents. She deserted him and took shelter in her parents house. Advise
her as to the available remedies in this regard.
18. A is a working woman in a private company. One Mr. X, who is the manager of the
company indecently depicted her photograph and exhibited it to the public without her
consent and knowledge to get more sales in the market. A wanted to file a suit against X.
