Por favor, lea estas instrucciones en su totalidad. No cumplirlas podra demorar
la aprobacin de su solicitud de Visa para no inmigrante de EE. UU.

Para completar esta solicitud, cada solicitante indicado a continuacin deber

presentarse con la documentacin requerida para una entrevista personal en el
Consulado de EE.UU.

Por favor, rena los documentos para cada uno de los solicitantes abajo
indicados. Cada uno de los solicitantes debe presentarse a la entrevista en el
Consulado con una copia de las instrucciones.

Usted debe acudir a una entrevista en persona en el consulado. Por favor, rena

Los nios menores de los 14 aos no necesitan aparecer en persona para la

 Un padre puede presentarse en lugar de su hijo, pero el padre debe
haber concertado una cita en nombre del nio y traer una copia
certificada de la partida de nacimiento del menor y un certificado de
matrimonio (si corresponde).

AVISOS: El oficial consular se reserva el derecho a solicitar una entrevista en

persona a cualquier solicitante, por cualquier motivo.
En general, slo a los solicitantes de visas con citas programadas se les
permitir entrar a la Seccin Consular. A los padres o tutores legales se les
permitir acompaar a los hijos menores. Para obtener instrucciones especiales

Documentos generales obligatorios

Para todos los tipos de Visas
Los siguientes documentos son obligatorios para todos los tipos de Visas:

1. Pasaporte vlido para viajar a los Estados Unidos. La validez del

pasaporte debe superar al menos en seis meses el perodo de estada en
los Estados Unidos (salvo que el solicitante est exento en el marco
de acuerdos especficos para su pas).
 2. El pasaporte que contiene la visa emitida a los Estados Unidos ms
reciente (segn sea su caso).

3. Solicitud de Visa para no inmigrantes, pgina de confirmacin del

formulario DS-160.

4. Pgina de Impresin de Confirmacin e Instrucciones desde esta pgina

Web.

5. Una fotografa color de 5 x 5 cm (o 2" x 2") tomada dentro de los 6

meses anteriores. En la siguiente direccin, puede encontrar ms
detalles sobre orientacin para fotografas del Departamento de

6. Los familiares acompaantes, salvo que entren en los Estados Unidos con
otra finalidad, deben presentar el original del certificado de matrimonio
(en el caso de cnyuges) y/o del certificado de nacimiento (en el caso de
hijos solteros menores de 21 aos), segn sea pertinente. Muchos tipos
de Visas requieren documentos adicionales. Por favor, consulte la
siguiente seccin.

(C) TRNSITO EN LOS ESTADOS UNIDOS

Pruebas de trnsito en Estados Unidos como parte de un viaje hacia otro
pas, e intencin de salir de los EE. UU:.

Pruebas de que tiene fondos suficientes para cubrir todos sus gastos
durante su estada en los EE. UU.

Pruebas de que el solicitante tiene residencia en el exterior a la cual

tiene intenciones de regresar al finalizar su estada en los EE. UU. Esto
por lo general se establece demostrando vnculos familiares,
profesionales, patrimoniales, laborales o de otro tipo y la existencia de
compromisos con algn pas distinto de los Estados Unidos suficientes
como para hacer regresar al solicitante al final de su estada.

La Seccin Consular se reserva el derecho de retener las copias de la

documentacin recibida junto a su solicitud de visa.

Arancel de emisin de Visa (Arancel

de reciprocidad)
Dependiendo del pas de ciudadana del solicitante y del tipo de Visa, el
solicitante tambin podra tener que pagar un arancel adicional para la emisin
de la Visa, conocido como arancel de reciprocidad. Puede encontrarse

To complete this application for a U.S. Nonimmigrant Visa, each applicant

listed below must appear with supporting Visa application documents for an in-

General Required Documents - For

All Visa Types
The following documents are required for all visa types:
 1. Current Passport valid for travel to the United States. The passport
must be valid for at least six months beyond the period of stay in the
United States (unless exempt by country-specific agreements.)

2. Passport containing the most recently issued U.S. Visa (if applicable).

3. Nonimmigrant Visa Application, Form DS-160 confirmation page.

4. Confirmation and Instructions page printed from this website

5. One 5 x 5 cm (or 2" x 2") color photo taken within the last 6 months.

6. Accompanying family members, unless entering the United States for

another purpose, should present an original marriage certificate
(spouse) and/or birth certification (for unmarried children under 21), as
applicable. Many visa types require additional documents. Please see the

(C) TRANSITING the UNITED STATES

Evidence to transit the United States while traveling onward to another
country and the intention to depart the United States.

Evidence of sufficient funds to cover all expenses while in the United

States.

Evidence to show that the applicant has a residence abroad to which

he/she intends to return at the end of the stay in the United States.
This is generally established by evidence of family, professional,
property, employment or other ties and commitments to some country
other than the United States sufficient to cause the applicant to
return there at the conclusion of his/her stay.

The Consular Section reserves the right to retain copies of the documentation
received with your visa application.

Visa Issuance Fee (Reciprocity Fee)

Depending on the applicant's country of citizenship and the visa type, the
applicant may also be required to pay an additional fee for visa issuance, known
