LAMP ACCESSIBILIry
No other bollard offers quicker, more secure access to the
lamp. Simply loosen the single, captive, tamper-proof screw
in the center of the bollard cap and the cap lifts free, exposing
the lamp for service maintenance.

OPTICAL SYSTEM
Lithonia Hi-Tek developed a unique 2-piece optical system
to bring high performance photometrics to the bollard. The
fluted design of our hydroformed reflector precisely directs light
throw minimizing arc tube voltage rise and thus increasing
lamp life. Further, the resulting light distribution around the
bollard is consistently uniform. (Patent pending.)

ELECTRICAL COIVPONENTS
Tray mounted with qu ick disconnect for convenience, the
electrical components are accessible through the bottom
of the bollard. High power factor ballast is standard.

EASY INSTALLATION AND IVAINTENANCE

A rugged cast aluminum base is mounted first to the four anchor
bolts. All leveling and alignment (critical to square bollards) is
performed on this base. After power supply connections are
made, the pre-assembled bollard is simply placed upon the
base casting. Four /6" SST set screws secure the luminaire in
an upright position.

The clean, classic lines of Lithonia Hi-Tek bollards complement

virtually any setting or building style. Carefully designed in
visually pleasing proportions, the round and square bollards
gracefully emphasize an entrance or delineate walkways and
walls. Variable height options give flexibility in achieving proper
scale with sitework. Adaptability to the site is also enhanced
with a choice of 6" or 8" sizes, identical in design.

VERTICAL FOOTCANDLES
The precision-engineered optical system used in Lithonia
Hi-Tek bollards provides exceptional photometric performance.
Vertical illumination is excellent for accenting a facade. Egress
areas are made safer by lighting vertical surfaces such as
planters, benches and retaining walls.

BEACON EFFECT HORIZONTAL ILLUMINATION

The sparkle of light above the horizontal typifies the bollard
as a beacon, an effective way to light entry ways and paths.
The fixtures serve as guideposts, defining pedestrian walkways
or project boundaries.
A symmetrical 360" pool of light js radiated around the base of
the bollard by the unique fluted reflector. This broad distribution
of light means pavement or landscaping is attractjvely uniform
in lighting appearance. Adding an optional haltshield limits
the light throw to half the lens area.

Construction-Extruded one-piece aluminum with .125"
thick wall. Standard height is 421'
Lens-Seamless clear acrylicwith 0.250" wall. Polycarbonate
available as an option.

anodized finish, supported by two t7;' steel retaining rods
not visible in viewing area. Cone is computer-spun with
anodized Iinish.
Socket-Medium base porcelain with nickel-plated lamp grip
screw shell, rated 600 volts.
Gasket-Closed-cell silicone.
Wiring-Field connection to prewired ballast components
made with high temperature leads supplied. ln-line quick
disconnect to socket.
Ballast-Prewired, high power factor (-20" F starting). Ballast
is mounted to component tray at factory.
U.L.-Suitable for wet locations.
Finish-Dark bronze polyester powder enamel finish standard.
Optional baked enamel f inish is olfered in eleven architectural
colors.
Anchor Bolts-Four 1/r" x 10" bolts with double nuts and
washers-plated against corrosion.
Half-Shield Accessory (HS)-Reduces light throw from
360o symmetrical to 200' asymmetrical by means of sheet
aluminum shield, {inished to match bollard.

Construction-Extruded one-piece aluminum. Wall thickness
of 6" bollard is .125"; 8" bollard is .188" thick. Standard height
is 421'
Lens-1000/0 virgin clear acrylic with fabricated corners.
