Management Report

Management Techniques
Agile Methods
Agile methodology is an alternative to
traditional project management, typically used
in software development. Agile approaches
help teams respond to unpredictability
through incremental, iterative work
cadences and empirical feedback. Agilists
propose alternatives to waterfall, or
traditional sequential development.

Scrum
Scrum emphasizes empirical feedback,
team self-management, and striving to
build properly tested product increments
within short iterations. Doing Scrum as its
actually defined usually comes into conflict
with existing habits at established non-
Agile organizations.

Contingency Plans
Possible Staff
As this is a small project I will only be
using myself to complete the project, but
if this project was to be produced on a big
scale then I would need to employ a
different person for each job to make the
process run a lot smoother.
Resources
The resources I plan on needing during this project are as follows;
A Video Camera
A Computer
Editing Software
Actors
Marple College

Monitoring and Reviews

Milestones
To be able to monitor and review my work as I went along I created
milestones within my ILP. My ILP is a
way of keeping track of what tasks I
have planned to complete by the
end of each session. A milestone is
what I set to make sure that I
manage to get a certain group of
tasks done by a particular date e.g.
getting all of my filming done by a
certain date so that I am able to go
onto editing the clips in the sessions after.

Crisis Management
So that I am able to manage any
potential crisis that could occur
during my project I could create a
risk assessment document. A risk
assessment is a document where
you state all possible risks that
could happen throughout the
course of a project e.g. any health
risks or production risks like losing
any files that you have created.
After thinking of the possible risks
you then go onto looking at how
to prevent the different risks like backing up your data.

Quality Control
To make sure that my video was produced to
the best quality possible I will need to make
sure that the equipment I use is the best that is
available to me. Also the different shots that I
use during my filming can make the advert look
more professional.

Meeting Submission Dates

Whilst creating my advertisement I kept on track with our ILPs. I did this so I
were on time with all the tasks I had to complete with the final submission
date. I split so it was easier to complete all the tasks in time. This also made
it easier if I was absent for a lesson it would be easier to catch up as I didnt
have to complete the entire task.
Keeping an ILP made sure i were ready to hand in all of my work completed
by the submission date. For each lesson I planned what I needed to do in
that session and carried out this task. I decided to do all of my filming
outside of lessons so I could use lesson time to work on the editing and the
tasks. Doing this ensured I had all of the tasks completed by the time of the
deadline.

Modifications After Pitch or Completion

After my pitch I had some feedback about my project and how I could
possibly make it run smoother so I will take those comments into
consideration and change around a few things within my project.
