My survey was over the topic of terrorism. I had fifty people take my survey. I had a
large variety of people who took my survey. The ages ranged from twelve to seventy and both
males and females took this survey. The largest age group was the age group of fifteen with
twenty people that age. The first question of the survey was, Have you ever heard about a
terrorist attack before? Fifty out of fifty said yes to this question. The second question on the
survey was, Have you ever met anyone that has been affected mentally or physically or
witnessed a terrorist attack? Eleven out of fifty people said yes, and thirty-nine said no to that
question. The third question that was on the survey was, Have you ever been afraid or worried
that you might be involved or impacted in a negative way by a terrorist attack? Thirty- four out
of fifty people answered yes and sixteen said no. The fourth question on the survey was, Do you
think terrorists are a positive or negative thing for the world? Fifty out of fifty people said
negative to that question. The fifth question on the survey was, Which of the following ways do
you think will be most efficient in preventing terrorist attacks? The choices for that question
was, restricting the buying of guns, not letting certain religious/ ethnic groups in America,
improving protective forces such as police and FBI, All of the above, none of the above.
Twenty-three people said, improving protective forces such as police and FBI. Thirteen people
said, All of the above. Six people said, None of the above. Six people said, restricting the
buying of guns. Finally, two people said, not letting certain religious/ ethnic groups in
America. The final question in the survey was, Do you think terrorism will get better or worse
if we don't take steps to prevent it? Fifty out of fifty people answered worse. Overall I can use
all of the survey questions to help my point of anti-terrorism except for question 2, Have you
ever met anyone that has been affected mentally or physically or witnessed a terrorist attack? I
think I can use the percent of people that said yes which was 22% and use it to compare to the
total population of America right now, 318.86 million. So if 22% of 318.86 million people have
met someone who has been affected mentally or physically by a terrorist attack, that would be
70,149,200 people. Overall I have learned that most people are against terrorism.
