patients hospitalized in Pringadi Medan Hospital Centre in 2008-2013. Sample is the entire
population data (total sampling) continued by statistical analysis chi square, t-test, Anova or
Kruskal Walli.

Based on 2008-2013 data, there was aqueous decreasing tendency of hydrocephalus cases
as it showed by the formula y=-5,7+45,3. The youngest age 5 days (one person) and the
oldest was 55 year (two persons), and the highest proportion was in the age 0-6 years old

days, returned 76,6% outpatient. Statistical analysis showed there wasnt significant
difference between age on basis of classification (p=0,110), there was significant difference
between the main complaint on basis of classification of hydrocephalus (p=0,026),
proportion of chief complaints seizures were significantly higher in non communicans
hydrocephalus compared with hydrocephalus communicans, there wasnt significant
difference between the old treatment based on average cost sources (p=0,919), duration of
treatment based on state average during the home ( p=0,925), medical management based on
source of funding (p = 0,747).
