RESOLUTION NO.

WHEREAS, on July 19, 2010, the ~om&ission on Elections promulgated

Resolution No. 9005 prescribing the Rules .and Regulations for the Resumption of the
System of Continuing Registration of Voters for the October 25, 2010 Barangay
Elections which is scheduled on August 1 to 10, 2010;

WHEREAS, there is a need to reset the registration period from August 1 to 10,
2010 to August 4 to 13, 2010 in order to provide sufficient time for the conduct of
training for field personnel, who will employ the Data Capturing Machine (DCM)
with improved program and the deployment and installation of the DCMs and
other related equipment peripherals in the field offices:

NOW THEREFORE, the Commission on Elections, by virtue of the power vested

in it by the Constitution, the Omnibus Election Code, Republic Act 8189, other
elections laws and jurisprudence, has RESOLVED, as it hereby RESOLVES, to reset the
Resumption of the System of Continuing Registration of Voters for the October 25,
2010 Barangay Elections, and hereby amends Section 3 of Resolution No. 9005 to
read as follows:

SEC. 3. Date, time and pldce of filing of applicafions: hearing

and approval/disapprova1. - Applications for registration, transfer of
registration records, reactivation and changes/corrections of entries ir?,
the registration records/inclusion of registration records/reinstatement
of name in the list of votersshall be personally filed at the Office of the
Election Officer (OEO) of the ,district/city/municipality where the
applicant resides from ~ o n d a ~ tosSundays, from 8:00 o'clock in. the
morning to 7:00 o'clock in the evening. The applications shall be heard
by the Election Registration Board (ERB) at the OEO, in accordance
with the following schedule:

 This Resolution takes effect seven (7) days after publication in two (2) daily
newspaper of general circulation. The Education and Information Department is
hereby directed to: t

1. Cause the publicatiog of this Resolution in two (2) daily newspapers of

general circulation in the Philippines;

2. Furnish copies of this Resolution to all Region Election Directors, Assistant

Region Directors, Provincial Election Supervisors an4 Election Officers.
