Course This course provides students of varying abilities with experiences that

growth. Skills related to decision-making, problem solving and critical
thinking and the use of sport technology are acquired by students
undertaking a course of study in Physical Education and Sport.

Objectives 1 Ability to perform/demonstrate a variety of basic swimming
strokes/skills.
2 Ability to demonstrate a variety of water safety skills.
3 Ability to perform all swimming exercises safely and correctly
based on their individual swim screening and fitness level.
4 Improvement in aerobic capacity, muscular strength, flexibility
and body composition as measured by active participation (daily
grade) and swimming skills evaluation.
5 Ability to work in groups with increased awareness and
appreciation of the others skills and aptitude.
6 Improvement in health and wellness to choose to make
swimming a lifetime activity.

Outline I. Basketball
A. Dribbling including changing hands, speed and
direction
B. Passing and receiving: chest, javelin and bounce
pass
C. Defensive footwork: sliding.
D. Offensive footwork: shaking off defense on 'v cut',
pivoting, faking/feinting and driving to the basket,
jump stop
E. Shooting the lay up shot, the set shot and the
jump shot from different angles and positions
II. Volleyball
A. Volley: volley and set up
B. Dig: fore-arm pass
C. Serve: under-arm and over-arm.
D. Spike
E. Block
III. Performance
A. Match Play
