Probationary Teacher, Ecole Westhaven School September 2016 June 2017 Edson, AB

Taught grade 4 on a full time (1.0) probationary contract.


Courses taught include: Social studies, science, math, language arts, art, health, and French as a second
language.
Organized school events such as the annual Remembrance Day celebration and Hockey Day.
Engaged in monthly PLC and CRMS meetings to focus on the diverse learning needs of students.
Offered lunch hour ukulele lessons up to three days per week from October to May.
Attended the annual ASCD Empower conference in Anaheim, California in March 2017 to focus on

Professional Inquiry Project during teaching internship focusing on continuous essential learning
outcomes in elementary and junior high mathematics. The project also focused on strategies to
compliment these outcomes. This project can be found on my professional portfolio.
Weekly attendance and participation in Elementary PLC meetings during teaching internship.
Assistance in planning and teaching parts of Niton Central Math Blitz from February 23 March 11,
2016.
Various Educational Undergraduate Society PD sessions including: job placement and technology in
the classroom.
Attended annual NCTCA in February, 2016. Sessions included: Three sessions on math fact fluency and
strategies in elementary school, Google Classroom, Delivery of Social Studies Education, and Dealing
