Knowledge: Students will
1. Demonstrate an understanding of multiplication (2 and 3 by 1 digit) to solve
problems.

Note: students use a variety of strategies.

Established Goals:

1. Students describe a variety of methods for multiplying large


numbers.
2. Students demonstrate a strong understanding of multiplying
large numbers.
Summative Assessments:
1. Math Review Thursday which will cover the content
taught during that week, as well as previous weeks. In
this unit, math review Thursday will be covered by
sections in the Mathworks 4 homework booklet.
2. Short review worksheets to test comprehension of facts.
3. Final review.
Various formative assessments are also included in lessons
such as whiteboard answers, movement exercises, mad
minutes, and practice exercises from Math Makes Sense.

Modifications:

I will be shortening the weekly math review assignment, as well as


practice exercise pages for students who struggle at staying on task.

Adaptations:

Differentiated instruction for audio, visual, and kinesthetic learners.
