Why did the vikings begin raiding Europe and why did they stop, provide reason

Conquering or expanding the empire is one of the factor that essential to become the
most powerful kingdom in the past. However, Viking is not. The word Viking means pirate and
raider or we use to called the group of people that expert in voyage. Viking lived in Scandinavia
which modern day is Norway, Denmark and Sweden and the North Atlantic.
Viking is considered the clever traders, wonderful navigators, best craftsman and
shipbuilders. They travelled and explored a lot in that time. They started at their home and raid
across Europe to Baghdad which now is Iraq and travelled through North America. I strongly
believed that many people will wonder that why Viking had to attack Europe. The statement that
I will mention below will provide the reasons and also when and why the stop raided.
Initially, It is the fact that Viking is came from now we called Scandinavia. Almost country
in Scandinavia is located in Tundra or we can called polar climate and the average of the
temperate of year is around 10 celsius that means it is cold all year. It is the fact that less plant
can grow up in cold weather and hard to harvest in this area and the increasing of population
that become the motivation for them to expand and attack Europe in order to find new land that
proper for agriculture and have enough space for accommodation.
Moreover, in that period, christianity was spread out over Europe while viking was
pagan. Viking was afraid that if Charlemagne, king of ancient France, spread their religion which
is Christianity to the vikings area, their culture and traditional will change so they decided to raid
Europe.
When the time was pass over, Flank which was the ancient France was sent the
weapons and supplies to Danish that respect to Harald who was king of Norway so they began
to allow the christian to evangelism in Scandinavia. Approximately 1066, the christianity was
spread over the Scandinavia and it become the officially Christian an no one and to destroy the
monasteries so it was the part of why they stop raiding.
The other reason is Europe was build up new government that was feudal system. At
first, it allowed people to travel and sail to other new area and attacked so the possible of them
to raid Europe or faraway land was almost impossible.
In the end of viking, Harald Hardrada was killed in the battle of Stamford bridge. The
battle of Stamford bridge was the battle between England under the force of King Harold
Godwinson and Norwegian under the force of King Harald Hardrada and this was the symbol of
the end of the viking age.
