For your convenience the Syntel NEOS has been designed such that it is programmable via
SLT, Key Phone as well as Hyper Terminal. The codes for programming via SLT & KTS are
the same. The only additional advantage of programming via KTS is that one gets to view the
codes on the LCD as they are fed into the system and is thus able to recognize & rectify any
mistake that occurs while keying in the codes.

Similar for Clear command as well.
For ARM Split CPU there exists two Dip switches. The significance of the same are as
follow :
NOTE : In case of 256P ARM CPU & ARM Split CPU never change the Flash Prog. Stub
to ON except during Version upgradation

clear COSPrefix
With Old veriosns there was a space for defining only 15 such CoS prefixes out of which 11-12
are default and can not be replaced. They can only be modified. Hence once all 15 entries are
fulfilled, system wont accept further entries.
For this purpose its advised to reset all the entries and program only first digits such as 7,8,9 &
1 with required Min & Max digits.

13 VOIP TIE NETWORKING
A. Tie Route Method
Function : Two or more NEOS exchanges can be interconnected using VOIP TIE JUN. If
numbering scheme of all the exchanges are same, it might create conflict while the call is routed
amongst the PBX. Hence each PBX can be distinguished by a code defined for each PBX. Its
called as Own PBX Code. This enables the PBX users call to the specific Exchange inspite of
having same Ext. Numbering for interconnected PBXs.
Thus if extension numbers of the interconnected PBX are different then the method of inter-calling
is referred to as EXT. Num. method whereas if Ext. Nos. are same then as described above, the
alling pattern is referred to as PBX Code pattern.
The selection of the same accordingly can be done by the following program.
Tel. Code #69+ PW + 400 + <Method: 1-PBX code /0:Ext.Num > + * (Default Ext. Num)

14 VOIP TRUNK JUNCTION
Now NEOS has been featured to provide connectivity for SIP Junction. Establish VoIP calling using services
provided by ISP through LAN (IP). For this one SIP card needs to be installed in both the systems configured
as VOIP TRUNK.
This enables external calls over IP. The programming required for the same are as follows : Note that since
execution of these commands require online response from the SIP Trunk card we recommend the
programming for these features preferably through Hyper commands ONLY.

Sr. No. = 01 to 99
CLI No. : CLI No. exactly seen in call record.
Example: To store a local mobile number 09850073822 (as observed in the records) as serial number
20 in the CLI based routing table and set the same to land directly at extension 226 in the day
mode and extension 240 in the night mode, the codes will be as follows.
Tel. Code: #69 + PW + 044 + 20 + 09850073822 + * + 226 + * + 240 + *
H.T. Code: set cliroute 20 09850073822 226 240
Allied Program : 063 , 000 11

c. Program DIAL Plan : NOT APLICABLE ARM SPLIT CPU Ver. 1.1 ONWARDS
Function: The dial plan for NEOS can now be programmed to start with any digit between 0 to 9; i.e.
extension numbers can be set as anything in the range 000 to 998 (unless programmed exclusively,
by default, flexible numbering would be from 100 to 799 only) with the exception of 900 & 910 (not
permitted). To ensure that this does not conflict with the single digit seizure of local, STD & Operator
lines (earlier set as 0, 1 & 9 respectively), the user is allowed to reprogram these access codes as well.
Code: #69 + PW+ 047 + Digit (0-9) + Dial Type (1-5) + * 1-EXT dialing
2- Local Jun seize
3- STD Jun seize
4- Operator dialing
5- Redial

e. Program CLI BEFORE / AFTER Ring
Function: It has been observed that some telephone instruments acquire power from the line itself. In
such cases the instrument gets activated on first ring, then the CLI information is sent to get it
displayed. This setting is done as CLI before Ring or CLI after ring. By default CLI information is sent
with first ring referred to as before ring.
Code: #69 + PW+ 049 + Digit (0- Before Ring / 1- After Ring) + *

k. Waiting Tone & Transfer to OPR MSG during Auto Attendant
Function : Conventionally during Auto Attendant landing, after voice message call progress tone is heard

Some costomer wish to get rid of the progress tone & wants the call to get landed immediately without any
announcement. This requirement can be accomplished with this program.

requirement.

29. PROGRAMMING FOR THE ADMINISTRATOR (CONFIDENTIAL)
a. Create Backup
Function: This code is used to create a backup of the entire System Programming on the flash card
except call record details and user defined voice messages & music. This flash card can then be used
in the future to directly reboot the system in event of data corruption thus saving a lot of time and
energy for the system programmer. Please note that this flash card has a provision to store two such
backups wherein the second one is addressed as Master Backup (mentioned later in the manual).
Code: #69 + PW + 026 + 0 + *
NOTE : Previously it was possible to create two different copies of Program Backup on PGBK
child card with Prog. 026 and 181. With the new version (ARM Split 0.7), only one copy of
backup would be possible to create. Program 181 and 182 are no more available. The backup
can be created with Prog. 026 and can be recovered using prog. 027. However it is not
mandatory to recover backup using Prog. 027. The backup can be recovered using DIP switch
settings as described in the programming manual. For recovering backup change SW1-1 and
SW1-2 position to OFF. Switch ON the system or reset the system. The backup created using
prog. 026 would be automatically recovered into CPU RAM.
set recbackup
e. Change Program PW
Function: This program is used to change the programming password of the system. Please note that
all passwords have to be in a 4-digit format.
Code: #69 + PW + 025 + chng level (3) + New PW + *

e. Check-Out
Function: To check out a guest in a room on a permanent basis. When a guest is checked out, the out
dialing facility for that room gets disabled. The guest room telephone bill is printed at the check out
