HUAWEI Android phone Upgrade Guideline

1. Upgrade prerequisites
a) Handset software should be updated with the microSD card.
b) Ensure that upgrade files are available:
File Name
Main software package Step1\dload\UPDATE.APP
Vendor software package Step2\dload\UPDATE.APP
c) Recommendation: Make some temporary folder on microSD card, and copy
folders Step1 and Step2 in that temporary folder.
d) Before starting upgrade procedure, ensure that phone`s battery is fully
charged! During software upgrade, it is not allowed to interrupt upgrade
process by powering phone off!
e) Note that upgrade process will completely delete whole phone`s internal
memory content! If needed, backup of data should be performed before
upgrade.

2. Upgrade introduction
a) From folder Step1, move complete dload folder to root of microSD card (so,
result path should looks like this: H:\dload\UPDATA.APP, for example);
b) Insert microSD card to the phone, power up phone normally;
c) Wait for the phone to boot up, and microSD card to be recognized and usable;
d) Dial *#*#2846579#*#*;
e) Go to ProjectMenu -> Upgrade -> SD card upgrade and confirm upgrading.
Wait until upgrade step finishes, and message Update Complete is shown.
Device will reboot:

f) Wait for phone to completely boot up;

g) From folder Step2, move complete dload folder to root of microSD card (so,
result path should looks like this: H:\dload\UPDATA.APP, for example);
h) Repeat steps d), e) and f).
