Annual Report

A warm Good evening to all. Today we all have gathered here to celebrate the lamp
lighting and oath taking ceremony of nursing students of Shri Anand Institute of Nursing.
Now, its my pleasure to share a few words regarding the progress of our college.

Shri Anand School of Nursing, come into existence in 2007, with the intake of 30
students, within 4 years it has progressed to 5 branches. The branches are
1. DGNM, with intake of 60 seats
2. Basic B.Sc.(N) with intake of 60 seats
3. ANM with intake of 40 seats
4. Post Basic B.Sc. (N) with intake of 30 seats
5. M.Sc.(N) with intake of 20 seats
At present our College has maximum strength of students with adequate facilities
available to provide quality education and this is achieved under the guidance of our beloved
and respected trustees Mr. Kishorsinh Sodha, Mr. Jignesh Trivedi and Mrs. Sarojba Sodha.

Our Institute has got Indian Nursing Council and Gujarat Nursing Council approval
and is affiliated to Saurashtra University, Rajkot. It is a fact of great pleasure to mention that
we have filled adequate seats for this academic year 2016-17.

Now regarding our facilities of college we have well equipped labs and including A.V.
Aid lab which is very adequate and useful to the students. Demonstration has been carried out
on different subjects in nursing. Our library is well equipped with enough books,
International/National/local journals and magazines.

Then to speak about clinical facilities, the student are provided with the best clinical
practices in various fields of nursing.We send our students to various hospitals for P.D.U.
Hospital Rajkot,Padmkuvaraba Hospital,Govt. Mental Hospital Jannagar,Sunmedisurg
Hospital, Wockhardt Hospital,Shree Giriraj multi speciality Hospital,B.T.Savani
Hospital,Unicare Hospital and so many
 Our students also attend various National Health Programmes such as Pulse polio
program,Blood Donation Camp, Eye Health Camp, Upleta Surgical Camp etc. In addition
they also go for various field visits such as water purification plant, milk dairy, sewage plant
etc. in order to gain additional knowledge.

To say about curriculum, we also have dedicated sincere, qualified and hard working
teaching and non-teaching staff who work together as a team in shaping the personality of the
students. They contribute their maximum for the optimal development of institution and
students.

We do give importance to extra curriculur activities and our students have participated
in all activities with maximum enthusiasm, curiosity and interest.

Adequate transportation and accommodation is also available for boys and girls.
There are further plans to establish own hospital in Rajkot.

It is my pleasure to mention here, every year our college students are getting
university ranks for that they all are awarded with prizes and medals in order to enhance their
potentials. This year also our 10 students got university ranks among them 4 students have
got university first rank.

 I, on behalf of the faculties and students of Shri Anand Institute of Nursing, my
heartfelt gratitude to his Excellency Honorable Managing Trustees, whose untired care and
concern is always with us for our success. Lastly, I thank all my teaching and non-teaching
staff for their efforts towards the achievements and development of the institution.

To conclude, I bow my head before the God Almighty for his protective presence over
this college through the year.
