Tray System to be installed in the Salak and Darajat Geothermal Power Plant
project to be constructed on Mount Salak and Darajat, West Java, Indonesia.
1.2 The cable tray system shall be an assembly of cable tray sections, fittings,
accessories and supports that form a rigid structural system to support cables.
1.3 Geothermal fluids have the potential to be very corrosive to many materials,
primarily due to the presence of chlorides, carbon dioxide, oxygen, ammonia,
and hydrogen sulfide (H2S).
Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) attacks copper, bronze and silver surfaces. All
materials furnished with the tray system shall be in accordance with section 6
of this specification.

2.0 REFERENCE CODES AND STANDARDS

2.1 The cable tray system shall be designed, fabricated and tested in accordance
with the applicable sections of the latest editions, in effect at the time of
Purchase Order award, of the following Standards and Codes:

2.2 It shall be the Supplier's responsibility to be, or to become, knowledgeable of

the requirements of these Standards and Codes. Any changes or alterations to
the equipment to make it meet the requirements of the Standards and Codes
shall be at the expense of the Supplier.

2.3 Whenever equipment proposed by the Supplier cannot fully meet the
requirements of this specification, such exceptions must be clearly stated by
the Supplier. No exceptions shall be allowed unless approved by the Purchaser
in writing.

2.6 The area where the specified equipment is located has a very corrosive
environment due to the presence of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) which attacks
copper, bronze and silver.
All hardware and accessories shall be made from corrosion proof materials
suitable for service within this environment. All material or equipment containing
copper, silver or bronze shall be tinned. Silver plated contacts in relays shall not
be used.

Supplier shall make a seismic analysis of the equipment being offered. The
seismic analysis shall be submitted to the engineer for review.

4.0 ENVIRONMENTAL CONSIDERATIONS

Geothermal fluids have the potential to be very corrosive to many materials, primarily
due to the presence of hydrogen sulfide (H2S).

Hydrogen sulfide (H2 S) attacks copper, bronze and silver surfaces; to assist in
reducing this attack the following will be adopted:

4.1 All electrical equipment shall be specified to include tinned copper, aluminum,
stainless steel materials only.

4.2 All bare and insulated cables, bus bars, jumpers etc., shall be tinned copper.

4.3 Silver plated contacts shall not be used.

4.4 All electrical equipment required for the Power Generation Facility (PGF) shall be
located in the STG building electrical rooms. These rooms shall be positively
pressured with conditioned air delivered through active carbon filters.

4.5 All electrical equipment required for the Resource Production Facility (RPF) shall
be located in electrical substation buildings. These buildings shall be centrally
located in the well pad areas. Each building shall be positively pressured with
conditioned air delivered through filters.

5.0 AREA CLASSIFICATIONS

All Areas are classified as non-hazardous and non-classified, but highly corrosive due
to presence of hydrogen sulfide (H2S).
