stage of acquiring and collecting
someone else's personal information for
criminal purposes.

Secure your social security number, and dont have it anywhere in your
wallet
Dont respond to unsolicited requests for personal information
Dont tell people passwords or other personal information
Pay attention to your billing cycles. If bills or financial statements are
late, contact the sender.
Store all personal information in a safe place that only you can access.
Create a complex password, and change it frequently
Review your credit bills. Make sure everything on their was legit and
purchased by you.

Our Opinion

Shelly: Identity theft is a topic that we should all be aware of because


now a days, it is very easy to hack into systems and steal private
information.
Jordyn: This topic can become very serious if people dont take the
proper precautions to protect their identity.
Noya: I find it a bit terrifying, because someone you most likely don't
even know is taking over your entire life without you even knowing.
Adam: I believe that everyone should know how to protect themselves
from identity thefts.
