We are interested to join the Guerrilla Filmathon: 80th Araw ng Dabaw Edition, and fully understand the
competitions entry rules, mechanics, types of race challenges we are going to face, and the theme of
the film that we are required to produce. We are aware of the race dates and can commit that we will
be available on those dates to participate in the competition.

The Guerrilla Filmathon: 80th Araw ng Dabaw Edition is a filmmaking competition where teams of filmmakers
produce their short films in only 24 hours and at the same time face adventure race-style challenges and obstacles,
and mandatory shooting locations in and around Davao City.

The 3 to 10-minute short films to be made must adhere to the theme of the Davao tourism campaign: Davao: Life
is here! Films should instill pride of Davao and pride in being Dabawenyos.

The Guerrilla Filmathon: 80th Araw ng Dabaw Edition will be held on March 11-12, 2017.

I. Team Entry Rules and Mechanics

1. Each team can have a maximum of 3 members only, comprised of the director and his crew.
2. Members can only be registered to one team.
3. Teams may use any number of actors in their film, and these actors will not to be counted as part of the 3-
person team.
4. Team members can also double as actors.
5. During the race, team members are required to be complete at the start of the race, when arriving at
checkpoints and roadblocks, and when arriving at the finish line. Only a valid medical reason can excuse
missing team members.
6. Interested teams must submit a registration form together with their sample works on or before February
27, 2017 at City Tourism Operations Office or via email at guerrillafilmathon@outlook.com.
7. Accepted teams for the 80th Araw ng Dabaw Guerrilla Filmathon will be announced on March 3, 2017.
8. The City Government of Davao will have screening and broadcasting rights for all films in perpetuity.

II. Winners will receive the following:

Best Araw ng Dabaw Film 50,000 plus a trophy

Race Winners:
1st Place 20,000 plus a trophy
2nd Place 17,000 plus a trophy
3rd Place 15,000 plus a trophy

Finishers (up to 7) 10,000 each

Competition committee members and City Tourism Operations Office employees are disqualified from joining the
said competition.
