Take a look at Redmonds urban planning from the 1960s thru today.
Changes in population density, economic growth and job demands,
housing, transportation, sustainability and more are reflected in
Redmond. The evolution of city planning and the development of
Redmonds Comprehensive Plan are impacted by Washingtons 1990
Growth Management Act and King County planning policies. Rob
Odle, Director of Planning and Community Development for the City of
Redmond will share the history of Redmonds urban development.

GoRedmond Grant
Philanthropy is starting the year out right! Redmond Historical Society
was awarded a $7500 grant from GoRedmond for expanding our current
Historical Walking Tour to a self-guided tour accessible on APP. The
grant will be distributed in two years. $5000 the first year to help with
launching and marketing the new program and $2500 the second year to
maintain the program. This program will not replace our current brochure
or our guided tour partnership with Tom Hitzroth. The app is designed to
enhance both of those successful programs. Watch for further details in
the near future.
