Holy or NOT

1. Luke 1:70 As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have
been since the world began:

2. 1 Corinthians 3:17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God
destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

3. Ephesians 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the

foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before
him in love:

4. Ephesians 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not

having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and
without blemish.

5. 1 Peter 1:15-16 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in

all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

6. 1 Peter 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy
priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

7. 1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy

nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who
hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

8. 2 Peter 3:10, 11 2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief

the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that
are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be
dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation
and godliness.

9. Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first
resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be
priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
The definition of the word holy in every one of these scriptures is the same
in the Greek concordance. It means, [physically, pure, morally blameless or
religious, ceremonially consecrated].
Webster’s definition is “spiritually pure”.

In the first verse we see that the writer says “his holy prophets” so I am
thinking that the prophets of God should be “holy” which means [physically,
pure, morally blameless or religious, ceremonially consecrated]. Point made.

In the second verse the writer says, we “Christians’ are the temple of God
and the temple of God is “holy” which means [physically, pure, morally
blameless or religious, ceremonially consecrated]. Point made.

In the third verse the writer says, we were chosen in Him before the
foundation of the world and we should be “holy” before Him which means
[physically, pure, morally blameless or religious, ceremonially consecrated].

In the forth verse the writer says, that He might present to himself a glorious
church without spot or blemish, a “holy” church which means [physically,

In the fifth verse the writer says, He which hath called you is “holy” so be ye
“holy” which means [physically, pure, morally blameless or religious,

In the sixth verse the writer says, ye are built up a spiritual house, a “holy”

In the ninth verse the writer says, Blessed and “holy” is he that hath part in

Well there really isn’t anything else to say. If you can’t understand the
scriptures about the church needing to be “holy’ then you are blind and need
some eye salve.

Some of you are saying that we are holy because of Jesus and that is true if
you have received Christ and the Spirit of God “LIVES IN” you. And IF
Gods’ Spirit lives in you then you will not be living in sin. If you are living
in sin then you better make some changes before that great and terrible day
of the Lord. If you are “holy” you won’t be cursing or making vulgar signs
at people, stealing, lying, or cheating anyone. You will be like God, “holy”.
You will be blameless, the sons of God. Point made!
