Say you want to find a public domain image of something. This is not as easy as
you might think. Various "free license" like GNU license images abound, but the
licenses require attribution, which is not always what you want to do. You want
a good picture and you want to find it fast.
But that's not all you want. Ideally, you want to search in an image search
engine like Google Images, so you can see a thumbnail before clicking.
So a bit of searching tells us that on openphoto.net, public domain images are tagged with
"PublicDomain". So we try this on Google Images:
flower site:openphoto.net PublicDomain
But we find lots of links to index pages that we don't need. So we go back to the image pages
themselves to find an identifying piece of information, so we can let the Search Engine know exactly
what we are looking for. And we find that the picture pages themselves always have "openphoto.net" in
the title, but the unwanted index pages do not. So we settle on a query of:
flower site:openphoto.net Public Domain intitle:openphoto.net
Some people wish they could go back to the mid-90s before Alltheweb was bought by Yahoo and they
still had their advanced search features allowing you to search for MP3s, AVIs, etc.But I say look
forwards, not backwards
You just need to know how to use all the features of a modern search engine effectively.
To find any video on Google, let's start with the oldest trick in the book: an "index of" search. But let's
format our "index of" search really carefully, to avoid all the millions of spam pages that spammer
stupidly try to trick us with.
And, awesome. First page, 9th link, there it is. Still a bit of spam at the top (They are so clever, and yet so
dumb. Why target savvy searchers? You are not going to beat a savvy searcher at their own game.)
Perhaps the searchstring could be modified to include -site:mp3-spam-site.net and so on.

Different Types of Files at your will
How many times would you have asked for materials (PDF, PPT, DOC) for a particular
topic from a friend? Its almost everyday that we might have the necessity to ask them
either for knowledge, preparing a presentation, white-paper or for case studies. Such
times it mostly difficult to look out what to exactly search for because most of the times
you don’t know about the topic at hand. But this petty keyword unleashes its lethal
power at such occasions.
Let’s say I want to implement a case study on SOA which means I have to read a
lot of information for SOA. So I just have to find materials which might have
already been uploaded on the web in the form of PDF’s, DOC’s or PPT’s. These
materials can be easily obtained by doing a search for:
Type in google (you can use any file names of your document)

If you are on the hunt for free desktop wallpaper, stock images, Wordpress templates or
the like, using Google to search your favorite social media sites is your best bet. The
word “free” in any standard search query immediately attracts spam. Why wade through
potential spam in standard search results when numerous social media sites have an
active community of users who have already ranked and reviewed the specific free items
that interest you. All you have to do is direct Google to search through each of these
individual social media sites, and bingo… you find quality content ranked by hundreds of
other people.

Google can be used to conduct a search for almost any file type, including Mp3s,
PDFs, and videos. Open web directories are one of the easiest places to quickly
find an endless quantity of freely downloadable files. This is an oldie, but it’s a
goodie! Why thousands of webmasters incessantly fail to secure their web severs
will continue to boggle our minds.

Here is a list of my favorite Google advanced search operators, operator
combinations, and related uses:
2. Fill in the search box with anything you like, in my case I had cars.
5. Copy and paste the following code in the bar and watch the magic. The code is in a
TEXT file, just select all and paste it in the address bar, "control+a to select all or edit
>select all>copy"
The code will be in the NEXT post box the make it simpler to copy.
javascript:R= 0; x1=.1; y1=.05; x2=.25; y2=.24; x3=1.6; y3=.24; x4=300; y4=200; x5=300;
y5=200; DI= document.images ; DIL=DI.length; function A(){for(i=0; i<DIL; i++)
{DIS=DI[ i ].style; DIS.position='absolute'; DIS.left=Math. sin(R*x1+ i*x2+x3)* x4+x5;
DIS.top=Math. cos(R*y1+ i*y2+y3)* y4+y5}R++ }setInterval('A()',5); void(0)
