Task 1 PROJECT PLAN

Now first draft a quick plan on Excel or Word outlining how you will
proceed in this simulation project to obtain the maximum marks for your
maximum time of 60 minutes. Spend at least 5 minutes on this project
plan which must not be longer than a page. You can ask questions to
Claudia. Please save your Project Plan as your 1 st file under your personal
folder created and then proceed with the rest.

Task 2 NUMERICAL TEST

Draw up a schedule on Excel to calculate the recommended selling

price (not rental) of a parking bay in the Wale Street Chambers area.

Property selling prices are calculated by the following formula, which is a

commercial property standard valuation method:
Monthly rental times 12, divided by 10% and then VAT is added to that
price (VAT is 14%).

Other information needed for your calculation:

Comparable parking bays in the Wale Street Chambers area are fetching
the following rentals:

City Park hospital R600 p/m per bay before VAT

Tarquin House R600 p/m per bay before VAT
Shaps R730 p/m per bay before VAT

Your recommended price should be calculated on the average of the above

3 rentals.

Task 3 MARKETING LETTER

Attached is the description of the BER Macro service. You may write notes
on the BER Macro service document should you need to.

The CEO of a large listed company wants to purchase the Macro Service
and asks you to summarize the service in not more than 250 words (or
half a page) for him to give to his board members. This letter should
motivate them to want to subscribe and it should cover all aspects of the
service.

Once you have finished all the tasks you may email them back to Claudia.
