Your consultant is away and you are doing their Gynae clinic. A GP has referred a four
year old girl who has had an episode of vaginal bleeding. She attends the clinic with
her parents who are social workers and her 2 year old sister. What is your differential
diagnosis and what do you want to ask? Then you get the next bit of information and
it's all very suspicious of abuse. I can't remember the next bits but it was all about
how to manage suspected child abuse.

You were given the scenario that your consultant had been involved in giving
evidence to a legal case in which a woman was suing and as a learning exercise, you
had to look at the notes and say what the risk management issues were. It was a
woman with a BMI of 40 who had a planned vaginal breech delivery that all went
wrong.

The patient has just discovered she is pregnant and is 14 weeks gestation. She has
epilepsy and is on carbamazepine and is normally well controlled but had a fit 2
weeks ago. Take a history and make a management plan.

You had an actress pretending to be an FY2 (actually I think she probably was an FY2)
who was interested in O&G asking you about some surgical instruments. There was a
small Spencer-Wells and some curved Mayo scissors and you had to tell her about
them and answer her questions. Then you had to teach her how to tie a knot. So it
was testing your teaching skills.
