THE CONFERENCE

Now a days organizations are witnessing an overwhelming transformation. However in today’s competitive
business environment, successful organizations need managers and executives who are accountable for
results that drive business performance. It means that they must balance their operational and functional
duties with the strategic imperatives of the business to create high performance organizations.
Keeping in mind the present day requirement of corporate sector with special reference to value addition,
creativity and innovation in the changing scenario of information, business and economic structure across the
organizations, business world has to adopt innovative strategies that incorporate the best global practices
without compromising the basic individual and corporate values. The global business environment fostered
with increased competition, where only those organizations which innovate customer and employee centric
approaches for meeting challenges of changing market scenario will survive

Routing into the same, the most significant business development is the pursuit of competitive advantage in
an uncertain world through new approach to organizational design. Strategic planning assists the
organization in creating value, generating growth and result in profits. Strategic planning is particularly acute
in India, so the Organizations have to comprehend whether the organization is poised to implement strategies
that create value, generate growth and result in profits? Who thinks strategically in the firm? Strategy
formation and strategic thinking have evolved and making it sure that strategic thinking skills are keeping
pace. Apart from this, what tools still work and continue to be useful in the development of strategy. What
new approaches might give the organization a kick-start to move to a new level of high performance?

CALL FOR PAPERS:

In addition to the papers on the conference theme, the scholars are also encouraged to submit papers on any
aspect of management in the following topics:

Scholars interested in presenting papers are requested to follow the guidelines


below:

1. One hard copy and one soft copy each in MS Word of the paper selected for presentation at the conference to be submitted to
Convener of the conference along with registration fees on or before January 23, 2010. The electronic version of the paper should be
send to conference@fortune.edu.in. Paper must include a clear indication of the purpose of the research, research methodology, major
findings, implications and references. Name(s) of the Author(s), their addresses (postal and e-mail) and Phone/fax numbers should also
be included. Electronic submissions are encouraged. Each abstract should have at least three keywords that are appropriate for the
submitted papers.

2. Manuscript should be of 3000 - 4000 (12- 15 A4 Pages) words approximately, excluding tables and figures. References as per the
APA Style.

3. Times New Roman font with 12 point font size and 1.5 line spacing should be followed on A 4 size white plain sheets with a
margin of 1” right, 1.5” left, 1” top and 1.5” bottom.

4. Acceptance of the papers will be notified within one week of the receipt of the abstract. All abstracts will be peer-reviewed.

5. Papers on the conference theme will be blind-reviewed and may be eligible for publication in the refereed conference proceedings
(in CD-ROM) subject to a page limitation.

6. Full paper/ presentation should be submitted latest by January 29, 2010.

7. Papers should be original and have not been submitted anywhere for publication.
8. Selected papers will be published in the annual research journal of Fortune Institute of International Business, New Delhi.

9. LCD projector/OHP/VCD players will be available for presentation.

10. English is the official language of the conference.
