Nei ye - Inner affairs

The Guanzi book

The Guanzi book consists of old Chinese texts
dating somewhere between the fourth and first century BC.
The texts are compiled at the Jixia academy in Linzi
the capital of the Qi state. The present form of the book
is gathered by Liu Xiang, a librarian during the reign
of emperor Cheng (32-7 BC). He collected all texts,
564 in number and after elimination of duplicates,
86 different texts were left. Ten of them are lost
in time, and four chapters describe the content
of the book,

The breath of energy

The essence of all things,
is like the germination of the five cereals,
(Hemp, millet, wheat, beans and rice)
just like a constellation moves,
The flow between Heaven and Earth,
is that of demons and gods,
hidden in someones mind,
and is called the wise man.
Therefore, in humans is the breath of energy (qi),
bright as the rising of the day,
disappearing as going under in a wave,
like mud on a water line at the ocean,
such as death, which is part of existence.
Energy
This is the reason that energy exists,
can not stop by force,
but allows peace and virtue,
That is not a sound like sighing,
but just as one sees the word.
Maintaining respect schould not be neglected,
it is true to say that virtue is complete.
Full virtue yet causes wisdom,
all living things shall fruit thereby.

The inclinations of the heart(mind)

The heart tends toward the mundane and punishment,
to develop it self to self-fulfillment,
to give life and to perfecting itself,
her place one considers as loss and therefore,
certainly it brings sadness, happiness,
love, anger, passion, anger, desire and value.
Be able to let go sadness, happiness,
love, anger, passion, anger, desire and value,
In addition, the heart is the opposite of help.
The heart and her emotions,
do well to safety and health through rest and peace,
without difficulty and without confusion,
in harmony themselves perfected,
Full of wrinkles! Such as parts of a slope,
Completely volatile! As one can not acquire,
Completely endless! As one destitute continues without limit,
This research is being not far away,
of daily use for his virtue.

The way (dao)

Partner of the road as a place that really appears therefore
fully,
 and therefore mankind is not able to become strong,
One continues without returning,
one does not come home, they endeavor,
but one can not hear its sound,
Nobody! It truly seems to exist in the heart (mind),
deep and dark it seems one do not see its shape,
untied it seems and innate we carry it with us in our lifetime,
invisible its shape, unknown her sound,
yet she continues to fullness, and they call it the way.

the usual road has no place,

benevolent heart, peaceful with affection,
the heart is at rest with the spirit of reason,
the way one can truly stop.
This way is not far away,
people obtain their properties thereby,
This way is not abandoned,
it causes so understanding people.

Reaching the way

This is the reason that energy exists,
can not stop by force,
but allows peace and virtue,
That is not a sound like sighing,
but just as one sees the word.

it is true to say that virtue is complete.
Full virtue yet causes wisdom,
all living things shall fruit thereby.
The way is this,
a mouth to the place,
which no words can speak,
see her place, invisible,
hear her place, inaudible,
the place through which one develops
 the heart in the right form.
Man is looking for his place, omissions causes death,
obtaining a place means life and existence.
Out of place of affairs is losing by failure,
what anyone achieves is by success.
The ordinary way, it has no roots and no trunk,
no leaves - no bloom,
all living things are being born by this,
all living things achieve by this perfection,
life speaks of the way.

Thinking and knowing

Heaven is the ruler of the right,
Earth is the ruler of the equal,
spring, autumn, winter and summer,
Heaven determines her time,
mountains, hills, streams and grain,
Earth provides that with all her members,
happiness and anger I receive.
Man makes his plans for sure,
yes indeed, wise old people and times change,
but without change,
because things never change.
Being able to be correct,
being able to be quiet,
then, one is able to decide.

The essence of the mind

The things of the heart are in the middle,
as the ear, the eye, and the mind are clear,
as the four limbs strong and solid,
by acting they may house the essential.
The essential thing is,
that what is the spirit of the essential.
 The spirit of the way is life,
to give life then is thinking,
thinking then is knowing,
knowing is then stop completely.
Every heart has its form,
ignore knowing is losing life.

Reason and virtue

One thing can change and that is called God or spirit,
one event can change and that is called wisdom,
bloom is not a change of mind,
change is no change of wisdom,
however, stick to this is a truly noble man,
who is able to act and carry out like this!
A [noble man] can not lose,
the ability as ruler over all that lives
The noble uses things,
not acting let things use [people].

Reason
Obtaining a single reason,
to control the mind rests in the centre,
magage words that let speak the mouth,
managing affairs increases mankind,
because this is the case,
the whole world is controlled.

Honesty
A single sentence may be correct,
but is coated below Heaven,
A single sentence arrange something,
but it obeys below Heaven,
which is called honesty.
Virtue in the heart
If the shape is not correct,
then virtue does not return.
If the middle is not motionless,
then the mind can not control.
If agreement takes the place of virtue,
and Heaven [takes place of] humanity,
and Earth [takes place of] justice,
debauchery becomes certainly rule,
but achieve your true self,
brings the gods to the utmost,
and amidst justice it protects,
against excess and errors.

The talent to think

The essential of considering and thinking,
is the peace and tranquility which control the mind.
Strict and stringent lead to fear and respect,
Using the essential is very decisive,
obtaining it should not be neglected,
when ear and eye experience no debauchery,
then the mind has no other image.
If the genuine spirit remains in the middle,
all living things achieve their completeness.

The way fulfills all under Heaven,

the general living and people occupy their place,
people can certainly not understand this.
Only words can loosen everything,
the highest awareness exists in Heaven,
at the bottom is the Earth,
fully writhing in the senses (the nine holes).

Virtue and respect

 what can one ask and explain towards life,
and the existence of the steady spirit?
If my mind is steady,
which is subservient to your steadyness.
If my mind is satisfied,
is that service to your satisfaction.

The mind in the mind

To achieve constancy of mind,
contentment in the mind,
is using the mind with a hidden spirit within,
a spirit that goes to the center,
thereby the mind is affording the spirit itself.
Because the mind leads to the spirit,
and the right sound first leads to words,
it ignites the sound from the body,
it ignites the body from the words.
Words ignite from order,
order light up from rules.
Where there are no rules there is confusion,
confusion let you die.
Essence of existence brings the self to life,
with her calm exterior and honor,
hidden practices inside create its origin,
overwhelming is this peace,
the essential of considering and thinking,
the use creates the breath of life like a wave.
A wave that will not dry up,
which makes your four limbs strong,
this source is inexhaustible,
the nine holes (senses) meet her requirements,
because they are capable to exhaust,
Heaven and Earth, and the four seas.

The mind and thoughts

 The ordinary road certainly includes density,
certainly vastness and certainly openness,
certainly hardness, and is strong and solid.
She protects the good without that a residence is required,
and expels the weak swamp of debauchery.
Because she knows her extreme,
causes the way to reverse to morals.
She maintains the spirit in the midst of life,
which is impossible to hide somewhere.

Harmony in life
Harmony exists in the body shape,
and sees existance as skin and colors.
A friendly spirit welcomes man,
parents exist just like brothers and sisters.
An evil spirit welcomes man,
kills existence with weapons and soldiers.
Without speaking there is no sound,
disease and hatred hit like thunder.
The mind and the breath of life [qi] are of the body,
they exist as every day of the month,
study them in the existence of parents,
They provide not enough good advice,
and do not punish sufficient for violations.

Thoughts and competence

The spirit of the idea is obtained,
just as everything is covered under heaven.
The heart of a thought determines,
like everything under Heaven is understood.
She rolls on by the hand of the divine spirit,
all that exists (ten thousand things)is perfected.
Skill rolls forth, is it not?
There is one skill, is it not?
 Ability knows no divination,
such as knowledge of happiness and guilt, is it not?
Does competence ever stop?
Is competence ever perfect?
Ability does not search for many people
She reaches the self, is it not?
Think about thinking,
it is important to think repeatedly about that.

Thinking about thinking

Thinking about thinking is making no connection,
The mind gives her by,
to resist against the divine spirit is certainly possible,
the essence of the spirit certainly seeks the limit.
When the four limbs are already straight,
and the mind in the blood is already motionless,
then a single thought is rolling through our awareness,
as ear and eye are without excess,
even how far away it may seem to be,
then thinking is approaching like a cable,
and let knowledge become born,
and slowly giving life changes to sadness.
Violence and pride give birth to hostility,
luxury and extravagance give birth to disease,
disease surrounds you with death.

Thinking is like giving something up,

surrounded inside and outside weak.
Without lice it creates a picture,
and life pushes to renounce obedience.
Eating is not the same as being hungry,
thinking is not the same as transferring.
Connect leads to cleanliness and order,
which the self uses for perfection.
Man as creative being
All human beings are born creative,
Heaven send her spirit,
Earth send her forms,
these combine the use and the creation of man;
Harmony was your birth,
no harmony, no birth,
Research the harmony of her way,
one does not see her essence,
to summon her is not shameful.
Peaceful and just she claims the chest,
masters the considerations of the heart,
this allows a long life.
Anger and rage lead to loss of volume,
your creations lead to images.
Connecting the five senses (desires),
let the two culprits (anger and rage) behind.
Without love and without anger,
it plough through peaceful and just the chest.

The nature of the will

All human beings are born creative,
certainly peacefulness leads to order:
Therefore loss [of peacefulness] leads to,
certainly by the love for anger - to sadness and sorrow,
the right cause leading to discontinuation of anger,
just like in the old stories (the odes),
go away from sadness and do not ignore music,
connect your happiness without neglecting the old customs,
defend good manners without neglecting respect,
defend respect without neglecting kindness,
inwards in peace outward with respect,
to be able to change its nature,
make the nature of the will act.
The mind and food
All food leads to the way
but being more than satisfied,
injures and serves not properly the body .
Eating much,
dries the bones and makes the blood slow.
Eating and drinking is done at intervals,
Wherefore we say, 'I am satisfied' (harmony completed)
Hunger and gorge leads to neglect of the system,
you create your own image.
Gorging as a rule make you sick and disabled,
and controls the figure.
The rule for good food that disease let happen,
is that hunger normally can control our thoughts,
an old rule as it has long been thinking is,
eating without that disease happen to you,
the mind does not indicate that you are full (to the four ends).
Hunger can completely control our thinking,
eat heartily and know to stop.

Do not worry
An old rule is not to worry (woe wei)
surrounding yourself with that has much trouble,
then fulfills the large heart
but the wide mind that is stretched,
is because her shape is quiet and unchanging,
and able to defend against all your trifles.
See happiness without letting you seduce,
see damage without fear,
open amply your goodness,
hear only the music of the body,
this is called the clouds of mind,
thoughts move like heaven.
Happines and sorrow
All human beings are born as a creative creature,
they certainly believe in their happiness,
in sadness and in disregard of rules and discipline,
anger regulates errors and leads to an end,
sadness, sorrow, happiness and anger,
the way has no place for it,
love, lust and immobility,
certainly lead to confusion.
Do not attract it and do not push it
further in front of you,
and bessings wil return to your self.
The way to the self can return,
let that be part of your plans.

Meditate
Obtain motionlessness
release tension,
The spirit of life (qi) exist in the heart,
one that comes and one that goes,
her smallness has no inside,
her greatness has no outside,
therefore neglect her place,
by stress she causes injury,
If the heart is capable to stay motionless,
the way will setlle in the heart.
Obtaining the way by man,
regulates the help and reveals her place,
the center of the chest can not be beaten,
to connect desire to the way,
may all life (ten thousand things)
not injure or destroy.
 Xin shu I - The art of the
mind
The mind.
The mind resides in the body,
and is the ruler of her position there,
The senses (The nine openings*) do their duty,
subservient in every minute there.

The mind has her own way,

the senses obey to reason,
fond and eager for advantage,
the sight is not the appearance,
the ears do not hear the sound,
Why it is said:
Above she leaves her way,
below she lose her business.

(* nine openings = eyes, ears, nostrils, mouth, anus and reproductive

organs)

Do not compete with the skills of others

Do not replace any horse by walking [by yourself],
it will cause exhaustion of powers,
Do not replace a bird by trying to fly [by yourself]
that will cause a crash of feathers and wings.
Thoughtfulness.
Be not the first one to move things,
therefore one can observe its properties.
The law of moving makes that you lose position,
remain motionless then we obtain our very self.
the way is not far away and yet extremely difficult,
Man occupies its place and yet it is still difficult to obtain.
Incorrect are our desires,
the mind want to live somewhere,
remove and clean up what is not pure,
than the spirit retains her place.

Wisdom.
Every human being longs for wisdom,
and there is no rule for her place or for the use of wisdom,
ah wisdom! ah wisdom!
she waves like the sea, without taking her powers from the
self,
looking for that which has no place for her,
the right man does not look for her,
To have reason is the ability to not to be incorrect,
emptiness is without form - it is called the way,
change makes all wat is alive - it is called virtue.

Proper behaviour.
Ruler, politician, father, child,
man creates space between things and calls that proper
behavior.
Climbing and descending leads to returns,
costly and cheap have their own rank,
as physical relatives of parents,
that is called formality.
The law.
The simplicity of things is small an not yet the way,
killing and humiliation tolerate the death penalty -
this is called the law.

Sincerity.
the great way can be peaceful but she can not speak,
a sincere man speaks words,
whether it is injustice.

Beauty and understanding.

What does not follow from the mouth,
do not see the beauty of the colors,
at the four seas of mankind, (all races)
and yet one understand her laws .

Modesty
Heaven speaks in emptiness,
Earth speaks in silence,
therefore do not boast,
do pure her palace (the mind),
Open her gate (the senses),
go away of no words,
The mind, so bright - presupposes existence.

Self control
Disorder! That seems confusing,
stay calm and with self-control.
Force can not exist anywhere,
Wisdom can not be exhausted.
Things that seem essential,
 seem to be essential for the name,
that which bears a name is called its human wisdom.

History
Ancient certain knowledge does not speak,
of no action and letting go (woe wei),
Then, knowing becomes history.
Unique shapes and different skills,
not everyting alive has different causes,
because by this - acting under heaven can begin.

Good and evil

People can kill,
surely die by their wickedness,
that gives no benefit,
by goodness one obtains merit.
Therefore a noble man does not stop doing good,
without a force from evil,
it is easy by let things go (woe wei),
to search what ancient wisdom offers.
It must also be,
without that it takes a place,
moving her,
certainly will not occupies a place.

Staying yourself
To live and to be yourself,
it is bad to search for change,
Therefore, learning and virtue makes a ruler,
whose place has no equal,
It also arranges things,
as to go to by chance.
Motionless and cause of the way.
Consiousness and desire
Consciousness rests in the body,
with the position of a ruler.
The senses have their own tasks,
subservient at any time.
The eye and ear of whom,
the images and sounds are controlling him,
passes her matters to the conscious without sign or sound,
the true law obtains and protect her smallest parts.
The human mind has this desire,
that things transcends and which the eye sees -
but does not understand,
hearing sounds with the ear - but without listening.
An ancient sying is: Above it leaves her way,
below one loses things.

An ancient saying: a skilled concious,

can let go (woe wei) accomplishes her openness.

An ancient saying: Do not replace a horse by walking

yourself,
Don not replace a bird by trying to fly yourself,
Take these words not as they are (literal)
be able to give an opinion without to be insincere.

Awaiting
Do not be the first to act on things because,
this disturbs all and not decide.
quickly provoked and without calmness, speak and act,
therefore one can not see the audience.
On the position of which one,
calls the own place is standing too,
man as ruler standing in the female (yin)
the female that is motionless,
 An ancient saying is that the law of moving,
causes loss of position.

To achieve the own self

The female principle (yin) is able,
to perfect the male principle (yang),
the motionless rule is able,
to accomplish the moving,
An ancient saying is:
True peace is achieved in one's own self.

The empty way

To live is to obtain knowledge

The way of Heaven her emptiness has no form,
The law of the void is rigid,
it has no form or rule and is without place or position,
without place and position,
because the way is streaming through -
everything that lives and does not change.
By this the things are born in life.
To live is to obtain knowledge to fulfill the spirit of the way.
Beacause virtue is also obtaining this [knowledge]
it obtains also - what one calls her place and
and certainly therefore the 'let it go' (woe wei).

Staying and proceeding is called the way,
because the way continues and virtue is inseparable.
Because it is that words go without that -
they are separated [from themselves].
Between the reasons there are ,
those [reasons] which one can call her place,
that is the reason that they have a residence.
 Correct behaviour
To behave correct [means that],
everyone continues to speak as they consider appropriate.
The habits that exist,
cause that people have emotions,
it includes proper behavior and leads to reason,
like buttons lead to images.

Reason
Events mean the possession of reason,
and reasons in case,
one can separate the correctness clear -
and the mind can explain about it,
events without correct behaviour,
reason causes the correctness of it.
The laws which as result hold out,
cannot be so sure.
Because premeditated murder,
and humilitiation are not allowed -
and to kill is only permitted,
for the old matter according the true law,
for laws without force,
the force certainly will leave the way.

To obtain knowledge

To use the way

Surely the way is this;
using her without seeing her appearance,
acting without seeing her virtue,
by which all life and everyone can obtain her,
surely on cannot know her extremity.
Therefore we can say to be safe,
as well as we cannot say that.
 Words
There is no man who,
can hide words,
even inappropriate, they should be pronounced.
It ought to be so that,
those who do not take their place,
do so because they are not able to fit with it.
From not taking care,
words can also be the cause,
because those,
which not resist their place,
are lacking to look back.
Not leaving the mouth (keeping silent),
seeing no colors (giving no opinion),
are also words without an form.
The four seas of mankind (all races),
usually know these rules,
the depth of words is limited.

The use of the way

Speaking without being prickly

Heaven leads to the way of emptiness,
Earth leads to the way of peace,
emptiness does as a rule not twist,
peace knows as a rule no change,
without change one is free of excess,
so speak without being prickly.

The palace of the mind

Purify her palace [of the mind]
guard her gates,
the palace which,
let surely speak the heart.
 The heart will surely speak,
then surely wisdom will seek her home.
Hence one speaks of a palace,
a purity that certainly,
leads away from excess.

The gates of the mind

The gates which,
we call 'hear' and 'see' of which,
eyes and ears indicate,
what is the right place to see and hear - to perceive,
[Things are becoming possession of the body,
things get possession of their name.]
This is called the failure to obtain prosperity,
abundance that gets a name without delay.

The correct names

The relationship of the things uses things,
using things gives everything a name,
one that supervises the correct names.
is called a wise man.
One goes from not speaking to speaking,
so it should be.

The creation of existence

That what ought to be,
exists through the creation of her existence -
just as man does.
She (a thing) also ought to keep her name,
and has to do her utmost,
for a suitable place,
which ought to lead to the way.
'Let go' (woewei) of the way is the cause of it,
 and is also the cause of,
the absence of benefit -
and from the absence of reduction.

The use of her things,

causes the creation of names,
and this causes its capabilities.
the names of it,
are pointing to places and to the use of the pattern,
from al what exist (the thousand things).

Trying to be good
People do when they are strong,
their utmost to be good,
yet they are still not able to be so,
deeds are, unfortunately, the cause of it.
Wise men do not look for her [goodness],
not seeking goodness,
methods give things different outcomes,
strange things are incorrect,
also all incorrect things that exist have their start.
Therefore one can say that existence creates everything in
the world.

To reside in yourself
Man forces existence to evil,
to neglect the rules is attractive,
letting fear exist is attractive,
forgetting the rules give place to evil,
and violates the way.
Therefore one say: Have no fear four your health,
Do not violate evil,
evil does not lose her reason,
let desire not exceed her feelings,
 therefore a worthy man expresses himself quiet, -
pleasant - and can let it go (woewei)
go away from wisdom and follow the cause,
speeking incorrect is really simple.
Violating her (wisdom), will give her a place
moving her will cut her off,
this, one calls it the reason for it,
certainly a reason for it,
reside in the self and the use of it uses creation as method.

The existence of the self

One has to leave behind emotions,
the wrong places show that,
to include reason as movement,
let the wrong take possession [of the self].
Evil exists by changing the change,
the use of the method without a void,
without emptiness as a method is like the existence of things.
Change changes the method of creation and life.

The origin of the way

The origin of the way is precious because,
it gives reason,
the reason for her ability,
to use the right words.

Speaking and silence

A worthy man is looking and staying -
just like emptiness in understanding,
such as talking can be highly inaccurate.
She belongs to the things just as chance,
such as speaking sometimes may be appropriate.
Heaven leads to the way of emptiness,
Just likea statue is a shadow of the body,
should sound result in music,
because things have rules to follow,
then the rules exceed, truly their home,
then words return back to emptiness.
 Xin shu II - The art of
the mind
Meditation.
If the body is not straight, one does not reach the proper
virtue,
one does not reach the proper virtue,
When one has not the middle of the mind,
Then one does not keep peace.
A straigt body honors virtue,
one obtains all what exist,
like on wings that let the self return,
the mind does not know her limits.

Control and faith in things.

The clear knowledge of everything under Heaven,
from all that exists to the four limits,
speaking of the right cause,
with lack of faith in things,
ensures that control does not work -
when control confuses the mind,
one calls that inner habits.
The exact cause of thoughts of decisions in the mind -
draws by turning the turnaround towards control.

Thoughts and behaviour.

In the mind it arises,
the body fulfills it,
they who move correct,
 also exhibit the correct behavior,
fullness is not a beauty,
the rule of the mind is not-obtaining,
not spreading the right,
is a rule like people without clothes.
The right cause,
than the spirit retains her place.
is for the wise man just like Heaven,
and has no person as protection,
just like the Earth is real,
and has no person as a load,
the personal is,
the disorder of existence.

Disorder

Disorder is the rule of existence.

Common things carry names like grains,
the wise man causes value,
like all in [our] existence has her rules,
no prosperity without wounds,
[so] disorder exists which is the rule of existence.

Thoughts control existence.

The existence is controlled by thoughts,
singular is the existence of the mind,
hearing and seeing are the head,
the depth of knowledge leads to evidence,
or is it talent that controls [the mind]?
 or is it the singular that controls [the mind]?

Talent
Talent does not make predictions -
just as the knowledge of good and evil do not help?
talent stops that anyway?
talent withdraws that anyway?
talent is not asking anything from people,
just as one would obviously obtain the self?
To speak is cause of thinking to something,
thinking leads to not-obtaining,
the divine spirit teaches that.
opposition to the divine spirit leads to strength,
the essence of the mind leads to its extreme.

The measure of the things.

One single spirit changes speaking to essence,
one single thing changes speaking to wisdom,
desire prefers it,
to use her place according to the measure of things,
the final change of it,
is leading the place to the things which belong to it.
 Desire.
Losing desire does not know confusion,
change the extreme does not know difficulties,
keeping [desire] in a single hand leads to a virtuous man,
when kept in a single hand it prevents errors,
and is the talent of the ruler,
of all that exist (the ten thousand things),
Sun and Moon give together their own light,
Heaven and Earth give together reason [to existence].
The control

The control of the mind

The wise man let things diminish,
without causing the ceration of things.
A peaceful mind,
in the correct state wil be peaceful,
a controlled mind,
is the correct state of mind.

Peace let many people live.

The mind exists in the mind.
Peace exists in th mind.
The peaceful mind exists in the middle,
peaceful speaking goes without speaking with the mouth,
controlled things are adding to people,
source of result comes when people follow that,
[and] many people live peaceful.
Control over people.
The right attitude through behavior knows no punishment,
the right attitude at risk knows no fury.
Controlling the people,
ruling over many people,
is the origin of the way,
and is also its reach,
that is controlling [something] without [wanting] to control
something.

Follow without change.

The wrong place for talented people leads to confusion.
control of all what exist leads to retention of benefit,
but violates the way.
The wise man follows the way,
just as life - just as dead,
through aid and its use,
generations die out without killing.
Follow the seasons and adapt without change,
like things are ought to go without change of place,
days pass like this without change.

Keep the peace.

People who are able to keep peace,
have strong muscles and strong bones,
power supports the large circle -
of the body with abundance.

The clear mirror of the mind.

The large bright mirror sees her great clarity,
 right and quiet without errors,
gives the new day her goodness,
the clear knowledge of everyting under Heaven,
passes through the existence of the four extremes.

Knowledge colors existence.

The gold of existence exists in the middle,
without possibility to hide.
Out of sight of form and appearance,
knowledge can exist and color the face [of it.]

Friendship and evil.

A friendly spirit welcomes humans,
like parents do with an older or younger brother.
An evil spirit welcomes humans,
and injures the existence with spears and soldiers.

Look for the natural causes.

Without speaking words,
consists hearing of thunder strikes.
The gold of the mind and of things,
exists [and is] clear like Sun and Moon,
 research existence just as a father and mother.

Love and neglect.

The brilliant rulers in antiquity -
loved everything under Heaven,
because they added all under Heaven.
Bad rulers harmed all under Heaven,
because they neglected everything under Heaven.
Obtaining goods does not lead to satisfaction -
and the use [of it] creates love,
Punishment does not lead to satisfaction,
and is linked to the creation of evil.
Collecting goods leads to the end of desire.
Punishment leads to the end of evil.
Habits and respect

Ordinary people live so,

that they certainly believe in justice and peace,
and a number of times in the loss thereof,
which they certainly believe in joy and music,
and in sorrow and anger.
Committing to anger can not be the same as music,
connecting with music may not be the same as social habits,
and defending habits is not the same as respect.
On the outside respect and inward motionless,
that's certainly return to its nature.
Peace has no sharpness.
What is missing at the beginning of sharp things,
I do not own sharp mind,
how can peace with things than be missing?

The mind creates reality.

I own no peaceful mind (heart)
in the middle of the spirit possesses the mind -
also thoughts that lead to words,
thinking is a descendant of the body,
the body is a descendant of thought,
thinking is a descendant of knowing,
all in the mind leads to appearance,
and goes beyond knowing and loss of life.

The mind is the source of origin.

The correct internal cause leads to
the creation of the source of origin,
The source does not lead to great difficulty,
and shows internal the channel of communication.
The source does not lead to drying up,
The four branches are strong and tough.

(* The four branches = the four pillars of life: yaer, month, day and
hour.)

The spirit enrobes the year, month, day and hour.

Talent causes its use,
by coating the [four branches] become strong.
As a result, the wise man speaks a single word.
The highest research is in Heaven,
The deepest research is on Earth.
 Bai Xin - Purifying the
mind.
Uniformity.
Set uniformity as a fixed rule to the existence,
use tranquility for clarifying intentions,
use time for making treasures,
use government to make rules,
harmony is achieved by persevering this for a long time.
Incorrect understanding of rules,
will really bring no benefit.
Resisting uniformity,
results even when it benefits not to fulfillment.
The resistance of the road,
results even when it benefits not in advancement.

Conforming to Heaven.
What goes up accommodates to Heaven,
and then man shall comply.
Man does not control and has no harmony;
Heaven has no beginning and has no issues.
Words create events and cannot be reversed,
and also issues are not met.

The origin.
The origin begins at fair planning.
The roots (of events), are her parents (father and mother).
Know her image (the origin),
it indicates that rules have her shape,
her reasons include [everything],
 and therefore one understands her feelings.
This dominates her beginning,
then one knows her name.

The cause of things.

The cause and variety of things -
exist in large crowds,
they can not be greater than Heaven and Earth,
the changes in many things -
cannot be larger than the day and night,
people can quickly move,
but they may not be as fast as water and fire.

All that is has an exuberant nature.

As Heaven do not creates a thing in vain,
her time and brightness is as the Son of Heaven,
so a single man can only create laws in vain.
Heaven moves forward its place,
as All that is (the ten thousand things) by her movements,
the wise man also moves forward from its place through
experience,
as hundreds of families do for their advantage.
The exact nature of all that is (the ten thousand things)
therefore, is just like the showing off the masses.

Find peace and control.

Right faith of the wise man leads to good management,
 tranquility and immobility leads to receiving,
things achieve just like names the source of peace of itself.
The correct name begins with peacefulness,
unusual names end.
Proper names lead to perfect laws,
and it is the rule of the wise man not to get involved.

Irregularity leads to standards.

Unable to regular life,
not capable of of setting aside one's stay,
listen, adapt and interrupting things,
is leading to the creation of standards.

Large and small.

The large and sprawling,
lies in seeing the small.
Creatures possess their place and space,
and possess their place without obtaining.

Struggle is part of existence.

Soldiers lead to appearance [crossing and exile],
appearance exists in humans,
 what unites people,
to unite exists in itself.
Soldiers lead to overcome,
and accompany coincidentally existence.

Justice.
Good deeds return,
and monitor the existence of the self.
So it is said that happy omens,
do exist as a spirit of death,
and that justice exists in the human being,
soldiers have no righteousness;
they cannot be so.

Pride.
The strong pride reduce its strength,
sensitive as arrogance - [like a fiery horse]
forward flying to death and destruction.
Be strong just as humble in justice,
true words have their own strength.
Be sensitive as humility in justice,
this prevents evil arising
 The exact cause of pride -
leads to an excess of contempt.
Contempt leads to an excess of pride.

The tracking of the way

The way exists,
all humans use her,
without knowledge she possesses surplus.
All that exists is moving forward,
without knowledge and without obtaining,
this is called to follow the way.

Happiness is determined by what one sees.

How one sees the small,
gives a rule for obtaining small happiness,
how one looks to the great,
gives a rule for obtaining great happiness.
Death comes on foot,
just as All that is covered [with that],
that is why the unusual does not know profits.
The rules of the people are the opposite of the self,
without avoiding that there are thieves.

Distribute and unite.

Improper is what spreads,
precisely is what unites,
do spreading what does not injure people,
unite that which injures the self.
Without the Sun, without the Moon,
just as things follow their course,
without predicting and without divination,
 as gently knowing good and evil.

The material is the expression of the mind.

Speak correct and complete, and from the things with a form,
the follower is deposited as a given name.
Get away from goodness toward speaking,
the creation of good leads to things,
completed things are like turning things without a name.
Talent has no name,
and pursuit of things has no properties.
Do research thoroughly the qualities without commitment,
you perceive it as a true physical expression [of the mind].

Beauty is infinite.
The law of ordinary talent does it know not to have rules?
A start has yet [itself] no beginning?
One end has yet [itself] no end?
The weak does possess not yet [itself] weakness?
That is the reason that beauty has no beginning.

Fame and earnings are transitory.

Hence it is said that the middle possess itself,
common talent of the wise man obtains the middle
and leads yet to the bottom one's mind?
Why it is said that reached earnings are to be overtaken,
and acquired fame is lost again.
 Hence it is said,
who refuses talent opposes merit,
and yet refuse to masses of people [to recognize] this.
Common talent refuses performance and resists fame,
as yet the contrary has not been determined,
not being completed remains valuable through completion,
obtaining the completed is value obtained by the unfinished.

Good and evil.

People who talk about the good,
do usually not listen and understand.
People who talk about evil,
do usually not listen and understand.
Understand this and accept it,
true void such as this will not result in both cases,
to a true virtuous and peaceful self.
Lack of faith in both (good and evil),
is called the creation of finished things.
Research this and call it up,
regardless of understanding or improvement
and all that is (the ten thousand things) returns,
the beautiful and evil are merely
 the unmasking of the self.

Permanence and the load of man.

Heaven has her permanence,
Earth has its cargo,
Heaven can not live without her permanence,
otherwise it would lead to fall down;
Earth can not do without her cargo,
otherwise it would lead to her sinking;
The Big Sky will not fall,
The Earth will not sink,
just as man has his permanence,
and just so man has his cargo.
Also humans are in such a situation,
that man possesses something that rules him,
and develops something like the big thunderclaps,
and there is something that leads to something moving,
the human being itself has no ability to vibrate,
man possess something [in him or her] that moves.

What man moves.

The human being has something on one way or another.
What is this something;
If we look at it, we do not see it
if we listen to it we do not hear it.
it is spread over all that ans is and without fullness,
without being able to see its limits.
Gathered there is a facial expression in colors,
such understanding exists in our muscles and our skin.
It's her job to leave us and to appear,
without being able to know when that is.
The weak hold her together,
what surrounds her,
without being able to see an opening.
Everything has the right function.
The mouth is the cause of the creation of sound,
the ear creates listening and understanding,
the eye collects seeing,
the hand is for gathering with the fingers,
the foot is engaged in walking,
so all matters and things have their proper function.

Decease frees man from its suggestions.

Meeting life is living,
conform to the death is dying.
This is how one speaks everywhere (in the west and the
east),
everyone dies for his country,
and then frees itself from the ordinary fixed suggestions,
is it an ability to defend virtue?
Ordinary things continue the way,
is that talent of the human driver?
Books causing their [own] evil,
and speak of their weakness.
The highest wisdom is to man,
[when] the mouth has no false flutter,
and the hand has no false fingers.
All that exists has a name or sound.
Things receive the ear like assignments.
Issues include names and sounds,
they accomplish in existence as body and appearance,
and that is all one can preach.
There is no business without names and sounds,
without realization; there is no body or appearance,
without it one cannot preach anything.

Existence itself is the human range.

Overtake and reach existence is the human range,
one can learn to live and exist,
and one can learn to die.
So it is said:
Who sails in a boat is in harmony with the water,
that is just as human behavior is a sign of the mind.

Goodness and truth.

Things have their own fitness,
just as the absence of fitness,
and they correspond to the possession of fitness,
like an ivory awl,
 which leaves no marks when loosening [a wire.]
The cause of what we elevate to the good,
the people in the country do not understand,
and cannot explain.
The creation of good,
it cannot be held in both hands,
the creation of what it is good,
uses and immerses itself in death.
The good, which is not good,
captures the truth and stops her.

The right center.

Everywhere (both in the east and west)
the right reaches its completeness in the middle.
The distribution of the Sun and Moon have no interruption,
and there is amazement on amazement -
without that the world creates sadness,
there is incentive to incentive -
without that All that is foretelling the divine,
simply talent resists stimulus to stimulus -
and the creation of surprise on surprise?
Speaking is investigating and understanding.
Difficult words are the art of the law,
and they must be the same as without.
Speak without exaggeration,
speak without letting anything away,
close [to truth] can avoid [wrong] use,
so it is said:
Do one understands what one knows?
Require plans also planning?
Research thoroughly,
what the self approaches.
Understanding the self is speaking -
talking is to investigate and understand -
speaking is help.

Creation rules the world.

Carefree understanding leads to opportunities,
the creation of the world (all under heaven) is always
continuing.
Internally it has the power to lead to unity,
it can create some that long will exist.
Discuss the use of it;
 it is the use of to control the world.

The wealth of the Earth gives all things life.

Heaven leads to examination of its essence.
Four jade [puzzle] pieces ask to understand.
The wealth of the Earth gives all things life,
is that a power like the strong wind follow waves,
which only wants her place beside her match?

The laws of the mind.

Old master - you replace the father - speak of right conduct,
statesman - replacing the Son of Heaven - Speak of
overwhelm,
overwhelming requires the ability to praise,
just as King Wu was just.
Wherefore it is said:
Just talent leaves the ruler and follows the ingenuity,
as masses of people follow the way.
Wherefore it is said:
Think of the laws of the spirit
understand the benefit of decline,
good deeds lead forward by studying,
and control a narrow way,
 names crouch down at ease and make life,
and know that dangers surround existence.
The six [senses] unite internally;
I understand that life is resisting property.
Support that just as satisfaction does,
you like you [realize] her hazard.

Names are fulfilling existence.

Names fulfill existence in the world,
with no choice to stop it.
Names are committed to continuing,
just as your body does and then withdraws,
and Heaven leads to the way.
Full and abundant in all countries,
it cannot result [otherwise than] to prevail and trust.

Feelings lead to humans.

Full and abundant as a family,
without leading to faith and love,
pride, arrogance and hubris lead to man,
without it lasts and mixes.
The way is in ourself.
The way leads the passing of Heaven,
its width is like the Earth,
her weight is like rocks,
its lightness is like a feather,
people go to [many] places,
but they believe and understand little,
and therefore it is said; The way leads ever closer,
in which one cannot give it the ability as a coating.
Put everything aside to approach what is far away,
that is causing trouble and cost power.

Cherish your own body.

So it is said:
I cherish love and desire for my body,
the first thing I know is that I feel like an Emperor (son of
heaven)
with the six [senses] intimately united,
so I study the very self.

We see everything from our own self.

Believe this and understand her image,
 you understand that feelings are continuing because they are
feelings,
you understand that life supports that.
East, west, front and rear,
it surrounds us and returns to her place,
like the use of honor to coat an image,
do respectfully welcome whatever comes.
Today the people closer to the way of ways
without competition and without waste,
by ancient rules from long ago.

Peace is the right one.

Peace leads to the return of the center,
the nature of the body retains its appearance.
One of which there is no second,
the right is called the way.
Use desire as coating for it,
certainly one of its extremes,
such as force retains its place.

Everything has its own time.

Duties come and go,
one can not know her seasons,
 rules lead the existence of Heaven,
following its creation in time.
Without failing over her times.
therefore you acquire talent.
Wherefore it is said; I speak of the great which leads to the
extreme.

Tracking of ancient knowledge.

Great clarity is clear,
doing violence to love gives people no praise,
as rules appear and follow each other,
and the absence of rules creates distance.
I study the opposite of rules and their distance,
I used to know cause of ancient knowledge and follow it.
